I think I am ready to open my heart again. It's kind of scary to start over at 51, but I know that out there somewhere is a kind, warm, nature-loving man of integrity who is looking for someone like me. Good communication is the foundation of every successful relationship, and by not making the effort on the first try, leads me to believe that you are not at all interested in this integral piece of the puzzle. Just sayin' I enjoy a nice walk and talk for a first date. I think being able to go for a walk with someone because it is a little more casual and sometimes the things you see along the way can fill in those awkward silences that can sometimes happen on a first date. I think you can usually tell after an initial meeting if the person is someone you would like to get to know (or not).

I love all types of sports and enjoy watching them live or snuggling on the couch sharing popcorn! I have a daughter who is a few years from college, so I would be more than happy to date someone who has children. She has a horse,and we also have a dog and cat, so Animal Lovers are welcome! I am an avid reader and like board games and puzzles-I have recently discovered that a lot of my friends engage in family game night and its fun! I do enjoy quiet dinners and outings, but I am also very social, so cookouts and tailgate parties, fundraisers and church functions are also enjoyable. I am church-shopping at the moment. I was brought up Catholic and my daughter made her Confirmation last year, but we both decided we were going to visit many different churches in our new area looking for that right fit. As a parent I think it would benefit her to meet many different people,especially as she will be attending college in a few years. I am a very hands-on parent-I know all of my daughter's friends and they are always welcome to come to our home or with us on outings. At the moment, the horse is a favorite! Music is a big part of our household, and my daughter has introduced me to the I-pod! I am not a very good dancer, but if you are willing to be my teacher-I am willing to learn! I like walking and bike-riding and both are a part of my regular fitness routine.-being so I can keep up with the children I deal with every day. I never had to cook before, so that has become a new interest as well.I do like to travel- I think people should be friends first so I would be open to a dinner and a movie, a concert, or a sporting event-something that is fun, casual and allows us to get to know each other.I like to just be out and about enjoying interesting conversation!
