here I am again... Reluctant Participant..Can't go any further until I add something here. There's always a catch...I supposed you could call me a reluctant participant. I know who I was and that I was good at it - House is still standing, I have 2 amazing successful daughters, a son who is still working out his kinks, all grown and moved into their own lives. Now its time to discover who the empty nester me is. I am a social person, spent many years as an advocate for the Learning Disabled and special education, am somewhat active in my community politically - have no tolerance for the BS so it limits my involvement. I work in the town I live in which is a blessing in itself I love learning new things about myself - being exposed to what is outside my box - discovering me.. I have been sailing the past few years, love it!! Love being on the back of a Harley, its the sound not the vibration...Wish I was more creative - can't draw a stick figure but I love and appreciate great art - from homegrown to museums, theater, music... I love being in NYC or PHILLY or DC - just loathe getting there lol so it seems when I'm 'doing' its about the journey, when I'm appreciating its about the destination.I love to dance - usually around the house as going to bars/clubs got old - or was it me that got old?? That crowd gets younger and younger every time I venture out lolA lot of the profiles I've read have comments about 'normal women' or lack there of. Makes me wonder what normal is? What can I say, I am a single mom of three with only one still at home full time. My kids are my greatest achievement in life but it is now my time to enjoy life in the second half. I am a big baseball fan and my love for the NY Mets is strong but I love the Red Sox as well. Watching a baseball game curled up on the couch next to someone special is my idea of a perfect evening. Put a movie in as well and that works just as well...but no horror or sci fi flicks.LOL I am very open to most music but love rock and country the best.I am looking for that special someone to share those moments with...fun times, spontaneous moments, bad days and life's triumphs. He would be a baseball fan for sure, love the water, be able to take a joke (hehe) and has expert cuddling skills!My friends would say that I am a honest, sincere, funny, tell it like it is kind of woman. I'm bold and brassy, hopefully you can handle it :) I have a great job and work with a fantastic group of people, so life couldn't really get any better there. One kid left to graduate then I can reclaim my house and my total independence! The only thing missing is someone to share it with. Well let's face it...the obligatory coffee interview must be out of the way by the time we hit the first "date" so...A live concert, a drive up the coast, dinner, baseball game, comedy show...take your pick!I am not a big drinker, nor am I into the bar scene.
