Woman. 55 years old. Zodiac sign: Taurus.
Looking for: man. In age: 52-62
I enjoy good live music and have been known to travel to see my favorites. I also enjoy singing. I like Southern Rock the best, but also like other genres of music. A couple of my hobbies are crochet, beadwork. I am not going to write a book about my life here because you don't get to know a person by reading a profile. Looking forward to hearing from you! Meet somewhere for coffee or a drink, have very relaxed conversation that does not require we get to know every aspect of each others past experiences. Just hang out and try to know each other in the moment. If there is a mutual connection, and we both agree, hopefully dating could develop into a special relationship.

Looking for: man. In age: 50-60
Ok, I'm looking for someone close in age, with a Harley, and has a condo on the beach. Just kidding! Really, I like to have fun and laugh a lot. I like all kinds of music, books, entertainment. I am adventurous and have a lot of energy. A few words to describe me would be honest, passionate, romantic. I'm average height, average weight, just your average girl next door feeling out of place, because divorce is not where I had planned to be.Take off your hat and sunglasses - I would like to see your eyes. I believe hard work makes for hard play!; and under 60 y.o., and wants companionship, compatibility, compassion; someone to share life's journey with. A take-charge kind of guy. A companion who can give as much as he can take. A journey shared doubles the laughter and halves the responsibility. Does anybody go to church anymore? Live love loud. Somebody told me I didn't look like I belonged on these sites, but you never know who you'll meet that you think is absolutely amazing, but only to you. That kind of chemistry is very special. I like art and music in all forms. I love to go to dinner and a movie. Is that boring or romantic? I like to go to church on Sundays, cook Sunday dinner, then head to the beach for the day. I enjoy celebrating holidays and weekends with a lot of family and friends around. Everybody needs to get away sometimes, so getting out of town, especially for a long weekend is a treat, it doesn't matter where, you pick the place. One of my favorite things is watching the sun set over the water. I'm a simple girl and easy to please.

Woman. 53 years old. Zodiac sign: Pisces.
Looking for: man. In age: 50-60
I love thunderstorms and the wind howling and the desert and deep woods. I like to watch sports with a man who knows a lot about them and likes even better, to play them. I love to dance and pray and get my hands in the dirt. I love action movies, old westerns, Shakespeare and slap-stick comedies. I love to see what is just around the bend and be in my jammies by 8. I am cheerful at 5am sans caffeine. I love the sound of a motorcycle reving up under an overpass just because and the deep voice of a man whispering in my ear for the same reason. I prize humility, courage, loyalty, perseverance in a man as I do in myself. I love a man with arms like an anvil and fists like a sledgehammer. And the wisdom to know when to use them and when to count to ten.My father and my son are the two men I have loved and respected most and when I was encouraged by a trusted friend to list 20 attributes I was looking for in someone, I found as I compiled it, that it was a composite of them. Here it is: 1. Between 6'1" and 6'5" in height. 2. Dark blonde hair. 3. Green eyes. 4. Athletically built and a life-long devotee of physical training. 5. Intelligent AND wise (they are not the same!). 6. Well-spoken and well-read. 7. In possession of a quick wit and enjoying poking fun at himself the most. 8. Gifted musically - able to play at least two ***, one of them being either the piano, the guitar, or the bagpipes. 9. Hard-working, personally frugal, but generous to those less fortunate.10.11. A Boy Scout.12. Clean in body - abstaining from all tobacco and recreational drug use. A rare intake of alcohol. 13. A warrior - skilled in a variety of weapons.14. A supporter of Israel.15. Devoted to his mother and courteous towards the female members of the family.16. Gentle and kind to animals and children.17. A man among men -18. Reverent - a fervent love for God encompassing body, mind, and spirit. 19. Faithful - able to withstand temptation, honoring his own integrity.20. Love me in word and deed. I took this list to my father, along with the profiles of the 30 men I thought most commendable. Though he was undergoing radiation and enduring much pain, his ***'s mind was as sharp as ever. He narrowed it down to just three. As I helped my father from his wheelchair to his bed, this man leaped up and lifted him effortlessly, but in doing so, his bounded hair became undone and cascaded over my father's face. And the man who was so "old school", who got his hair trimmed every two weeks, reached up and combed his fingers through the long tendrils and said, "It is so beautiful, Tom. Don't ever cut it." Then my father motioned for me to put a CD on, one of his favorites - "Wild Horses". When it was finished, he took Tom's hand and with tears streaming, softly said, "I have played this for her. Now, you will play it."Two weeks later my father died and joined my son. I was alone now in the world and the man with the beautiful hair had compassion on me and took me under his wing. He is in possession of many, perhaps most of these qualities. Odysseus was not the first, nor the last man to have his ship turned about... ; )But I will say this - every now and then, as I do the dishes, he gets out his guitar and plays "Wild Horses".And most of the time, "Nothing Else Matters..." It's message is one I keep remembering as I wait on Odysseus, the one who would be Anam Cara...to me.KINDNESSBefore you know what kindness really isyou must lose things, feel the future dissolve in a momentlike salt in a weakened broth. What you held in your hand, what you counted and carefully saved, all this must go so you knowhow desolate the landscape can bebetween the regions of kindness. Before you learn the tender gravity of kindness, you must travel where the Indian in a white poncholies dead by the side of the road. You must see how this could be you, how he too was someonewho journeyed through the night with plansand the simple breath that kept him alive. Before you know kindness as the deepest thing inside, you must know sorrow as the other deepest thing. You must wake up with sorrow. You must speak to it till your voicecatches the thread of all sorrowsand you see the size of the cloth. Then it is only kindness that makes any sense anymore, only kindness that ties your shoesand sends you out into the day to mail letters and purchase bread, only kindness that raises its headfrom the crowd of the world to sayIt is I you have been looking for,and then goes with you everywherelike a shadow or a friend. Well, I do like creativity and adventure... ; )
