Woman. 55 years old. Zodiac sign: Capricorn.

Looking for: man. In age: 52-62

Sophisticatednerdspiritualrockerchickintellectual…what? Can a woman who likes Renaissance and Impressionist art also like screaming out play advice during a football game? Can she head bang to hard rock and be swept away by classical lyricism? Can she read books for days on end and spend hours in the heart of a good adventure video game? She can and I do. My youth is not only in my heart and I feel the age I look rather than the one dictated by my birthdate. I have done my duty now long for adventure...to find all that is incredible and enchanting and breathtaking in this life with someone open and articulate. Do you? (PS: My pics are no older than six months…what you see is my truth; I wish for someone who is equally as honest.) I appreciate frankness…openness and honesty, especially on here as so many games are played. So here’s some of my own…I am NOT looking for till death do us part (if it happens, I’d go with the flow, but it’s not on my immediate radar). BUT neither am I a ‘one night’ girl! Perhaps it is my strong European influence, but I do believe there is a lovely middle ground, where sophisticated men and women can enjoy each other’s company, publicly and privately, without ever having to worry about such annoying questions as…what does this mean, where is this going…ugh! HOWEVER, (and yes it’s a big however), even with such a sophisticated attitude, and perhaps especially because of it, there needs to be as much if not more respect and manners…those I absolutely must have. A chat at the beach in the summer, in a cafe before a fire in the winter.

PLEASE DO NOT "LIKE ME" OR "WANT TO MEET ME" OR MAKE ME YOUR "FAVORITE". I RESPOND TO *** YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY, SAY IT! I DON'T CHECK THOSE AREAS. I ONLY RESPOND TO MAIL.Hi, I'm Valerie. Thank you for your interest. To lay out the facts, I am a professional career woman, a devoted mother and daughter and a wonderful friend. I'm grounded in my beliefs and level-headed, but I do like to have a lot of fun! I think what my family and friends like most about me is my wit, my warmth, my honesty, my commitment, my acceptance and my independence. Like most everyone, I enjoy just hanging out with my friends and family. We plan out parties and events like there is no tomorrow. I love anything on the water--playing on the beach, sailing, jet-skiing, fishing, kayaking, tanning, or just watching the sun rise or set. I really love music (the radio must be loud in order for me to sing-LOL) and love to see live bands.. I'm a rock n roll girl with a lot of country and lots of oldies thrown in. Festivals and "playing out" are also a great enjoyment for me; I've been to Ren Fest so many times I can't count. Love the arts and theatre having grown up near NYC. I grew up in the country and would love to get back to basics from this city life some day. But, in the meantime, I drive and work. I was in public accounting my entire career until ***when a client hired me away. I like it fine. Miss some of the old challenges, but it's a great job. I have always been employed and very fiscally responsible.OK! Fun Stuff!!! I am a risk taker. I love action! Motorcycles, fast cars, bungee jumping, skydiving, airplanes and just pushing for a thrill. Don't ever dare me because I have a crazy side that will do it. I have little fear. Ziplined last winter in Cabo!! Very hard to do alone--they make you go backwards! Made me realize that I needed to work out more--that mountain was a killer! So I did join the gym and am feeling a lot better. So, what I am looking for is someone that compliments me socially, spiritually, physically, sexually and financially--not necessarily in that order--LOL! So that means someone who is spontaneous, has a sense of humor, is a Christian, is physically and mentally attractive (at our age ;). stable and romantic. I still believe in true love and, after 9 years of being single, I know I will recognize it.I've never been a good sales person. You will just have to take your chances to see if we connect, And we both know what that should feel like :)PLEASE DO NOT "LIKE ME" OR "WANT TO MEET ME" OR MAKE ME YOUR "FAVORITE". I RESPOND TO *** YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY, SAY IT! Optional. I just expect to be treated like a lady in any scenario.

Woman. 52 years old. Zodiac sign: Leo.

Looking for: man. In age: 49-59

I think I am ready to open my heart again. It's kind of scary to start over at 51, but I know that out there somewhere is a kind, warm, nature-loving man of integrity who is looking for someone like me. I'm in a transition phase in my life right now, trying to find the balance between putting my time, energy and passion into activities and people which will bring meaning to the 2nd half of my life vs. the practicalities of everyday existence. I really admire people who have chosen a simpler life built on what is important to them, rather than what society today dictates as being important.Part of my vision for the future includes a loving partner to share the journey. I like to spend most of my free time doing things outdoors like hiking, biking, gardening and paddling my kayak, but also enjoy live theatre and music.I tend to favor acoustic music, but like just about anything but rap/hip-hop type stuff and really twangy country. I find cello music really expresses all the feelings of the human heart so I adore cello music. I especially love live music in outdoor venues.I love to eat anything fresh from an organic garden, ethnic food and locally grown and raised stuff. I was raised Catholic but am finding my spiritual needs and growth extending beyond the *** these days.I'm not perfect...I have faults, weaknesses and character and bodily flaws. I'd rather share them with you, for true intimacy comes from feeling safe enough to be vulnerable with another. I'd like you to feel safe enough to share your imperfections as well. I do wonder... ...whether I will meet someone amazing that I want to spend the rest of my life with and who wants to spend the rest of his life with me ...if I will ever have my little eco-friendly home with a huge garden, a few chickens and maybe a goat...(oh, and you!) ...how I can support myself financially doing something I love rather than just working for the paycheck (and just for the record I have no debts except my mortgage)You should message me if:...you are looking for a down-to-earth, grounded woman with simple but important values. Someone you would love to go for a hike or camping with, or spend the day playing in the garden with, cooking dinner with or just relaxing on the beach with.If you are a kind, honest, man of integrity, who cherishes the out-of-doors as much as I do, I think you should say hi.I'm sorry but please pass me by if you are a smoker or have a past, present or future substance abuse problem. I have been deeply hurt by someone's issues with alcohol and I just don't have it in me to ride that roller-coaster again. In general,"Hey", " Hi there", or "what's up?" are really not likely to get my attention, so please...if you would really like a reply, make the effort to say something of substance. Good communication is the foundation of every successful relationship, and by not making the effort on the first try, leads me to believe that you are not at all interested in this integral piece of the puzzle. Just sayin' I enjoy a nice walk and talk for a first date. I think being able to go for a walk with someone because it is a little more casual and sometimes the things you see along the way can fill in those awkward silences that can sometimes happen on a first date. I think you can usually tell after an initial meeting if the person is someone you would like to get to know (or not).
