Family is important, but my sense of family extends beyond those who share my DNA to the people in my life who step up to the plate for me when required, who I trust have my back when it counts, and for whom I do the same. Fitness (and overall healthy living) plays an important part of my day-to-day life - for the social aspect, blowing off steam after a challenging day, and maintaining balance. I'm not religious, but a strong spirituality informs what I do, how I see the world, and how I treat people. I've been told I can be a bit of a sass (who, me?), and I've yet to disagree... I definitely enjoy trying new things, with varying degrees of commitment and success... (Spanish lessons, kayaking, boxing) and welcome a challenge. Try to laugh daily, and at myself often - it's key to keeping perspective. Self-improvement and personal growth are somewhat of a passion. More of a morning person, though not obnoxiously so...don't like the cold, but will make the best of a rainy day...TV doesn't take much priority for me, but love a good movie - a great book even more so. Would love to connect with someone with a similar intention to infuse joy whenever and wherever possible, with a clear sense of what they want to create in life. Certainly not without our imperfections, (that is, after all, what makes us real and loveable) yet we are committed to mimizing the drama and chaos, maximize fun on a regular basis, and agree that games are for whiling away the rainy afternoons. We don't just give lip service to ideas of respect, honesty, and integrity, but come to relationships expecting to be held accountable and authentic...and would do nothing less than hold each other the same way. You 'get it' when I say that it's not about the stuff we have, but the passion we share...simple as that...and can't help but get excited about the future we're creating as "that couple". I am first and foremost a Mom to, two very active and amazing young ladies. Life can turn busy sometimes, so we consciously make sure we balance life out with some down time too.I have many interests but I would have to say music and travel are at the very top of my list. I love all types of music, and doubt that you will ever catch me in a moment when it is not playing in the back ground. Live shows in small venues can make me connect with a whole new genre I never even knew I was interested in. I love stumbling onto new sounds. I am a bit of a travel junkie. I have made it a personal goal to work hard and save, so that I am able to travel twice a year (once with kids and once without) So far I am making it happen! I am generally a happy person, I put friends and family at the top of my priority list, but I am also keeping a space open to allow room for relationship priorities. I am a firm believer that once a decision is made to commit to someone you should be prepared to jump in with both feet. No “one-footers” please :)The online scene is not my ideal way to meet people (I prefer the real world) but I have had positive results from this site. I won’t rule out the possibility that it could work again. I am not looking forward to weeding through the “not-so-good stuff” to get to the one person that makes it all worth it in the end, but HEY who ever said dating was easy? I have met some very nice people along the way, and on the flip side of that I have also met some very …uhhh… “interesting” people too. I only ask for an honest online presentation, if you are who you say you are, then at the very least we will have an enjoyable time and can see where it goes from there. I have zero tolerance for false fronts, and I hope that you do too. I am often asked about what I am looking for? I try not to limit myself to a certain type. I never know what feature or characteristic of a person may strike me as attractive...but believe me, when it hits me, I know. Humour and height (I am 5'9" and a half without shoes) will always grab my attention, but a great smile and classy conversation will keep it. I don’t put too much emphasis on what you do for work, but I do think that it is important that you work at something. Trust and communication are what I feel make or break a relationship…please come prepared to work towards both. The only up front deal breaker I will not budge on is “addiction” IF ALCOHOL, DRUGS, GAMBLING, “SURFING ONLINE”,OR ANY OTHER UNHEALTHY HOBBIES ARE HOLDING YOU BACK IN LIFE…please correct those on your own…there is no need to share with others.Also, IF you are on here to hide behind a computer screen, and not be accountable for how you speak or treat a person ... honestly, please don't interupt my happiness. ***, may I suggest you use that waste of both of our time to visit the "Self Help" section...just sayin.Hopefully this gives you a bit of insight into who I am, and why I am here (for the right reasons). I will leave it there for now and assure you that there is a lot more to talk about. Drink and an appetizer works for me!

Hmm..I think many of us have a tough time trying to describe ourselves in a paragraph...Kinda like writing a resume for our hearts. Ok so....not really sure what I want to write at this point. Basically I'm just checking things out and seein' what's out there.
