I live a full life and I am grateful for it. While I am competent and independent, I also know that I would enjoy sharing my life with someone. It would be nice to participate in each other's interests, find common ones, or at least cheer each other on from the sidelines. Here are some things that interest me. For one, I changed careers about 5 years ago and became a math teacher. I'm now working towards my master's in math so that I can teach at the community college level. I love my job and my students tell me that they appreciate my style of teaching. It's very rewarding to see someone "get it" after struggling in the past. Although I consider myself to be pretty hip, that's my geeky side!Second, I attend my fair share of concerts and like discovering new music. Here's a taste of what I've seen lately: Civil Wars at the Berklee Performance Center, The Black Keys at the Garden, Meiko at TT the Bear's and Gotye at House of Blues. It's fun sharing a passion for music and listening to great stuff.Third, I like to stay in shape. For a while, I was a runner exclusively. Now, I have more variety in my fitness routine. If I can get in two runs and three classes (spin, yoga, weights) a week, I'm happy. Sometimes life gets in the way, and that's okay, too. After belonging to the Y for years, I'm finally making good use of my membership!My friends would call me considerate, compassionate, and caring. I come across as gracious and calm, but I do have a spunky side. I'm also quite stylish, think a cross between boutique and consignment. In fact, that is a good description of me in general.I have two kids who make me very proud to be their mom. They are at great ages ***and ***independent, but still like to hang out with me. Being involved in their interests is a priority for me... I love being both a soccer mom and a dance mom. I have a pretty consistent parenting schedule, so that when my kids are with me, I can concentrate on them; but when they are at their dad's, I have time for me (and my partner).I'm looking for someone who is kind & attentive, attractive & athletic, intelligent & down-to-earth, and who (like me) has a certain joie de vivre.

I am a very laid back person, there is no drama in my life and that's the way I like to keep it. Ok there's is always drama in life, its how you deal with it that makes the difference.I am however very outspoken and opinionated, I get that from my dad who always told me "stick up for youself kitten, 'cause no one else ever will".... Update: I have found a wonderful man on this site... Good luck to all those fishing out there! I'm off the market! :-)I am a relaxed woman, down to earth, calm and patient. Does that mean I don't have any pizzazz or a sassy side? Absolutely not! I have plenty of that! I have come to the time in my life where I am comfortable in my skin and that is liberating! I am the commander of my own ship, but that does not mean I don't play well with others.I am a dental assistant and enjoy interacting with people in the health field. Love my work, but am also always a work in progress.. There's so much to learn and enjoy!I love cooking a good meal, enjoying the process, drinking red wine while the meal is simmering and great conversation, good food takes time!Of course I love the beach and walking on it, but more so on an overcast or cloudy day, when there are no people. Setting out a blanket and reading and listening to the surf is delightful and my kind of simplistic heaven... same goes for a park under a shady tree!Sports are good... love cycling. I usually ride between ***Keeps my heart happy and healthy! And yes, I'm a girl, and I do yoga.. I know it's so cliche!Movies, books and music are great get aways for the mind. For music I rather unconventional for my age... I enjoy the newer stuff more than the older "timed" classics of my generation. I do have an affinity for big band, 20's,30's and 40's music. Classical is timeless! That's a bit about me! I think, unless one has taken some time to get to know the other person, the coffee/tea date is a good start. Usually the setting is quiet, so the two can get to know one another, without too many distractions. After that, whatever the two decide to plan.

I enjoy lots of activities. I have a trailer that I love to take out, especially to the ocean. My family and I walk the beach with our dogs and look for treasures. My son and I take our quads out, the dunes are our favorite! We also ride locally. we ski and snowboard and snowmobile when the snow is deep enough at the cabin. I have tried scuba, hang-gliding and parasailing and would like to try jumping out of an airplane. I have raised my children alone and we are close. I work graveyard and I like it, I have been at the hospital for 13 years. I like to experience new adventures and hope to travel more when I have more time on my hands. I love to go to garage sales and antique stores, who knows the treasures you may find! My father used to say "I may have to be responsible, but I'll never grow up." I like that! I do what I'm supposed to in life but try to live lightly and enjoy! I like concerts and attend many through out the year, all types of music. I also enjoy relaxing and watching tv or movies. I like to laugh and be silly but I know how to be serious when need be. I value my time off and like to plan things so I know how I'm going to spend my 4 days off. I work 9 nights with 1 day off after 3 on then I work the other 6 nights. I work every other weekend. I believe in family and work at keeping my kids involved in my life. My kids are over 18, but if u have kids that's great. I'd like to meet someone relatively close so once there is a steady relationship there is the opportunity to hang out before work, otherwise it would b 9 days before visits and I want something more then that! I like taller men and of course a physical attraction, has to b a spark! I like to be out so that there are activities to enjoy, I think it helps conversation move along when you are enjoying something. I would like to be somewhere that is not loud, a meal would be nice so we can talk, and get to know each other.
