Hi,I enjoy all kinds of adventures from hiking, kayaking, X-country skiing and snowshoeing to travel, travel, TRAVEL! I studied photography many years ago. My goal was to travel the world taking photographs of people in their native lands. Unfortunately that didn't work out but I still love photography!I have had the great opportunity to live in a number of countries and I plan to do a lot more of that as I look towards my future. My goal, when I retire, is to pick an area each year and spend 5.5 months getting to know it.My interests vary, from education to photography, food and wine and music. Though I don't play any instruments, I love to listen to music, especially at outdoor venues. I love that there is so little policing... we can bring in our coolers, umbrellas and blankets and spend the weekend, without incident, enjoying world music. I work as a health educator in corporate health and wellness, still do some personal training and still teach at a local YMCA so I am very passionate about staying active and fit! I am also a triathlete and enjoy both the training and the competition. If you are a sedentary person, I can tell you that this will not work out. I am very high energy and although you don't have to be a triathlete I am looking for the same in my partner. I also want someone who loves to laugh and have fun! Life is way too serious and we all need to let go once and while and just enjoy! Love a cozy night on the couch with wine and a movie too....so I am balanced! lol!Btw, I would like to share one more thing. However, the market has made this difficult to achieve. Hoping this spring there will be an opportunity. I just want to make sure that is not a problem if you have an interest! For a first date I think it would depend on how well I got to know the person through e-mails and phone calls prior to the date. It could just be getting together for coffee or going out for a nice dinner. Humm...he needs to be good looking (that may sound shallow, but we have to have some kind of instant connection or it's not worth pursuing), he needs to be honest (I can't tolerate a liar!), he needs to have a good sense of humor (I believe I have a pretty good one!) and I would like the fact that he earns a descent living and is handy around the house.
