I am a reporting analyst and I am currently working in the utilities industry. I have a BS in Accounting. I am at the beginning of a new chapter of my life, with a new start full of things to learn and experience. I am going back to my love of dance. I normally take lessons in tap and ballet. For me dance is a way to express myself… it’s a mix of letting loose while exercising control (yes it’s an oxymoron). It is also exercise without it feeling like exercise. It is not unusual for me to dance in my kitchen… try out new moves… see which one work and which ones might accidently kill someone. For those of you whose minds might have wandered off, let me just answer the question that is currently running through your mind, I dance with my clothes ON. I also like to sing in a choir. My apologies to anyone who has been stuck next to me at a stoplight in the summer, my A/C doesn’t work, so I have the windows down and I usually have the stereo up loud while I’m singing to an opera song, mispronouncing all of the words. I also enjoy gardening, hiking, and going for walks. I can’t believe I’m confessing to this but I like mindless romance novels. I also like cooking magazines, I save various recipes but I rarely try out the recipes. I also have a cookbook that I enjoy reading, The Science of Good Cooking. It makes me wish I had taken chemistry in high school. As for movies, I like action/adventure, most Sci-Fi & However, I will not watch horror films, I won’t be able to sleep for weeks and it won’t be because I have every light on in the house. I don’t watch much TV these days but when I do I usually watch HGTV, History Channel, Food Network, TLC, the movie channel. I really like the HBO series, Newsroom. I enjoy listening to most music. Lately, I have been listening to various movie soundtracks. Oddly enough, I’m not a fan of country music… which makes me wonder how I ended up in the prairies. I also don’t really care for rap music although I have to admit that I have performed a tap dancing number to a Christmas rap song (I didn’t pick the music). I was not aware you could rap Christmas music, I learned something new. As for traveling, lately it is mostly day trips or weekend trips to the mountains. When I was younger, I traveled a little bit around the US. I love going to the ocean, it’s always peaceful there, no matter the weather. I have sandcastle toys and I always make a sandcastle when I go to the ocean.
