Every once is awhile I find myself doing something on the weekend that I did at work a few days earlier. Not a bad life.However, I live in a small town and it is difficult to meet new people. All the folks I run into on my weekend "nerding" trips are retirees who can now give more time to their hobbies. I don't go to bars, unless there's a good band playing. I am an early to bed, early to rise type of person. I would rather get up really early to go on a birding trip than stay out late at a party. I will admit that I tried the online dating thing once before and made a few good friends. I'm going to try again to form new friendships and possibly find something a little more. My first goal is to find someone who is willing to drive a little bit out of the way to find a rare bird or check out some old growth forest.
