If YOU play guitar and sing (doesn't have to be pretty either lol), you've already caught a lil piece of this lady's heart...I LOVE summer... beer n patios, boating and weekend country life. Love city stuff too, live bands and the corner pub with the regulars. I'm into hockey (GO JETS!!), and enjoy spectating at nearly any sporting event. I don't play anything formally or recreationally, but am reasonably coordinated…And Winter. Yeah that thing. NOT my favorite time of the year lol, but I do what it takes to keep warm to make the most of it. Except when snowmobiling's involved - BRING IT!!!;) Also I'm not a great skater, so this year I plan to change that.I need you to be direct and honest with me, I will offer the same. I have baggage, we all do. I guard my kids, my independence, our privacy. I have a lot of friends, and yes that includes a lot of guys too lol..so possessiveness and jealousy don't fly with me. To quote another user's profile words that I fully agree with: "I'm not too concerned with what your body looks like as much as I am about your personality... and you should have a lot of personality to keep my interest." I'll admit though that I have a thing for blue collar guys and country boys, calloused hands. And Lord knows I have my quirks.That's it for now until we meet. I am writing young adult novels (teens) and my background is in journalism, politics and running youth programs as a social worker. I love eating exotic foods: Indian, Japanese, Thai, French, even vegetarian:), but I'll always have a soft spot for my Mom's Chicken Florentine. I love dessert and will gladly skip dinner for it. Ice cream, cake and brownies are faves.My taste in music runs from classic rock to pop to movie soundtracks to new age. Like goofy movies, guy comedies,dramas and independent films mostly (anything except horror).I consider myself spiritual and gave up Catholicism long ago. (Though does one ever really escape?!)I'd love to hike, run, chow down on good eats, go to a movie, concert, basketball or baseball game with you – or just veg out and eat Ben and Jerry’s. I'm game to try anything once as long it doesn't land me in jail. Although that would be a good thing to write about…! I'd love to meet for coffee/tea and get to know each other a bit. I'm not a big phone or *** -prefer to meet face-to-face for a brief chat. Then a hike or a walk or some other activity. A movie or concert. A few hours at the beach. Farmer's markets. With the right person, anything is fun:)

At this point in my life I think I am pretty comfortable with who I am and what I want, but I can also be an awkward dork sometimes. I live on an incredibly beautiful farm and get to do what I want for a job. I'm independent but I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.
