A first date should be arranged after a causual meeting to discover if there is chemistry. If chemistry does exist, a romantic dinner, followed by a long walk on the beach or in a park, holding hands, learning everything about each other, not wanting to say goodbye, and watching the sun set over the horizon would absolutely melt my heart.

I think it improves mental attitude as well as reduces illness and physical pain. And it just feels better to be physically fit. I work out about ***times a week, bikram yoga, jogging, lunges, squats, kayaking and hiking when seasonally appropriate, etc. I would like someone who enjoys being active as well. My children are young adults and I am very close to them but now it is my time to travel and enjoy life with a life partner. Life is an adventure that is meant to be lived.I enjoy the geographic beauty of the DC metropolitan area but love to travel for pleasure. I would really like to travel overseas with that right person. There are so many places that I haven't been yet. Even for a long weekend. I I travel a good amount for work but will find time to build a relationship with that right person. I am looking for a life partner who is physically fit, educated, a man whose word is their bond. Maybe you are or were in the military, maybe you are an executive, fireman,really any profession, it is more about your character than what you do. Your character, how you treat me and others is what I value. You are protective of the people you care about without being controlling. You are sufficiently confident in your own abilities that you are not threatened by my success. Integrity is a critical characteristic for me in a partner, it will be in your actions as well as your words. This extends to looking like your pictures. It makes it so much easier when we meet! ( I look like my pics.) I want someone I share a strong mutual chemistry with, I am a passionate person and I think that is a critical component of any successful relationship. I want someone to share the rest of my life with me. I think meeting for coffee or something short is nice for a first meeting to get to meet and know someone.
