I am not looking for a intimate encounter I would like to start with friends and see where it goes obviously chemistry is a factor but I need to be in your presence to see if it is there... so with that we can go from there. I am sure we can figure something out between both of our interests and comfort zones and make a great plan.

I will try to sum up everything in a nutshell and not be too long winded, lolI'm a little shy in the beginning but pretty down to earth and certainly don’t judge a book by it's cover. My children, my family and friends are very important to me but I'd like to find that special someone. Someone to share hopes and dreams with, someone to say "it's going to be alright" I enjoy life and always try to have a positive outlook on things, I truly believe you can turn any negative situation around and make it positive if you choose to do so. It's all about your mind set. I really enjoy the simple things in life like going for long walks, cuddling by the fire or just sitting and talking. Anything can be enjoyable if you want it to be. I also enjoy going to the movies and playing pool, even though I'm not the best at it.....it's all about having fun. I believe laughter is the best medicine, so you must have a sense of humor and take things lightly, be able to joke and carry on and just have fun. Life is too short not to, so you have to make the most of every day.I'd have to say honesty, trust, communication and respect along with a good sense of humor are important qualities that I look for in a significant other/partner. As well being an overall good person who is willing to put themselves out there, someone who is sensitive to the needs of others and someone who is secure and confident with themselves.I certainly don't play games, so I'd appreciate the same in return. I am a mom, teacher, daughter, friend, adventurer, and newly found fitness girl:-) my daughter is 18 and a freshman at the UW and yes, I am a super proud mom!:-) I've been a teacher for 16 years and while saying that makes me feel old, my students remind me every day that I only look 19!(they are all getting an A in my class!) lol:-) I have spent the last year following in my daughter's footsteps and learning how to eat clean and hit the gym 6x a week. No, I'm not yet where I want to be, but I will be by June, ***, when I will compete in a figure competition with my daughter! It has been on my bucket list for years and I'm making lots of progress. I love traveling this great big world of ours, hiking, being anywhere near water, and camping! Yes, I LOVE camping! I'm at a place in my life now where my daughter is grown and in college and I'm looking for someone to get to know and hopefully kindle a romance that lasts forever .... Yes, even though I've never been married, I am a romantic at heart! I have also attempted to date men with younger children and while I appreciate all the men out there being great daddies, I'm more interested in meeting someone who has older children or children in college ( or never had them). Just like everyone else, I hate doing these things. I mean, how do you summarize yourself? I always get caught between wanting to make a bulleted list (my organized side) and rambling on forever about this and that until you're lost in the prose and at the end you'll say, "...but you didn't finish the story!" (My creative side). If you read all the advice out there and you're a man, you'd go for the prose because women love reading that stuff. But if you're a woman, my ad is already too long. Go figure. Hah!What the heck. I've gone on this long...I am shy and introverted; yet charismatic and can be the life of the party. I don't tell a good joke, but most people find me amusing. I don't smile all the time, which I guess translates into being somewhat intimidating and unapproachable (but now that I've told you that, you will not find me so); but if you approach me I usually have a smile for you. I am often told that I am the 'bright spot' in many people's day and am often sought out for quick conversation when they are feeling down. More than one man has said I am a good driver. :-)I am a geek. I grew up reading comics and, while I don't collect anymore, I still pick up one or two issues once in a while. I have several TV shows and book series that I am gaga over. And yes, I gush about them like a teenager. Sue me...but if you're not into them I probably wouldn't bore you with the details. I hate to tell folks this, but *everybody* is a geek about *something*.Running has taken over my life recently. Mostly it's because I'm training for my first Half in November; I *do* make time for a social life. Time out with friends, my nephew's football games (followed by family time), hiking and so on and I'm also training at work so I can move into a different field; but running is my current passion and obsession of choice.Hmmm.
