Hi, I´ I grew up in WI, moved to Spain when I was 19 to go on a year-long study abroad program, fell in love with it, and ended up staying there for 13 years.) Their weekends were spent cheering me on at my sporting events-- they never missed a game/meet. When I had a weekend off, they would find other ways to have some quality time together. (art and historical museums, picnics, long hikes in the woods, gardening, BBQs...) -My brother, who is two years older, is still my idol and best friend. :-) Looking back, I am sooo thankful they made sitting down at the table as a family, for breakfast and dinner, such a priority. That is where a family becomes "a family." -I think honesty is the most important part of a relationship, and if not THE most important, at least it's at the top of the list. I was married to a spaniard for 7 years. Unfortunately, he had personal problems that he could not overcome, even with my loving support. My situation was unique, and I was forced to move on. It wasn't an easy thing to do, since I am a firm believer that marriage is a lifetime commitment. I put single down in my profile so I could be included in more searches. Ok, so answer this... Why "favorite" or "meet me" with absolute no intentions of replying back to my message??? That's totally lame. So I'm looking for that 1% who isn't a douche and has the balls to take a step forward in life. Hello :)Let me start by saying I'm not your typical, Barbie-type, girly-girl.. I'm a girl with class; who is independent, respectful and have my head on straight. I can dress up or down. I can be quiet, maybe a little shy at first but inside there is an extrovert just waiting to come out for the right person. I have a sense of humor and don't take myself too seriously, except for my goals and aspirations.I'm looking for something real. A companion. A best friend. I'm over the games and guys who are insecure with themselves. I need someone with courage, morals and values. Someone who isn't afraid to be silly but can take things seriously when needed. Someone that can make me laugh and smile on a daily basis. I have been playing drums & guitar for nearly 20 years and have done the whole band thing a few times. Anybody that has done music performance knows that there is no other feeling than being onstage in front of many people and have so much adrenaline pumping through your body. I can compare it to going on a scary roller coaster... it's the thrill of it. Graphic design fills the part of me that needs to be creative. I LOVE colors, typography, layouts, packaging, and silly illustrations. I currently work doing Ad Designs and Production for a small magazine, and work hard to keep moving my career forward. I love retro/vintage style of cars, bikes and decor. I love hiking and being outdoorsI love/hate working out/running but I do it to keep in shape and feel good, and I'm pretty consistent. I think I'm totally easy going now that I'm in my 30's, still have the feistyness of a 23 year old but know how to chill it out when needed. I love dancing, I was a ballet dancer for 24 years but I don't do any kind of dancing anymore unless it's in my living room, bathroom, the occasional wedding, car, or if I hear a song that just gets me moving. So along with dancing I would think you would have to love music which I do, I'm still big into alternative or indie music since that's what I grew up with during my adolescence years. Growing up a bit I was big into the club/rave scene and still do love house music. I am really open to any kind of music except I just can't do County. Right now I'm working with children and would like to become a teacher or work with kids outside of school helping them to calm their mind and use it for better things than to hit, scream, etc. I do study Buddhism because I like the philosophy and I have been on many silent retreats for meditation. I love traveling and trying new things culturally and am not afraid of trying different things especially food...feeling about done talking about myself, if you like anything you've read let me know, I'll be here. Oohhh if I could have the ultimate first date it would probably be a hodgepodge of all my loves, like looking at the ocean with a great bottle of wine, while really getting to know each other. Doing something fun and exciting on the date, from a roller-coaster to paragliding. But I am also so easy to please and if you give some great thought into it I am always greatly appreciative. Like going to one of your favorite restaurants that you have loved for years. The little thoughts from you go a long way for me.
