I am a down to earth, funny, intelligent, and passionate guy who doesn't take myself too seriously. I recently finished a doctoral degree and post-doc fellowship, which consumed much of my life for the past few years. With that behind me, I am more open to and ready for a serious relationship. I love what I do for a living. I am a psychologist who specializes in early childhood and family intervention. I am passionate about my work and find it incredibly gratifying. However, by no means does my work totally define me. In my free time I love to do yoga and run. My motivation for physical activity comes more from my investment in my physical and mental well-being than for my aesthetic appearance. I have practiced yoga three days a week for a few years now, and I run in the fall and winter (I love early morning runs when the air is crisp and the sun hasn't risen yet). I also feel like I've been away for a long weekend after a long day of skiing. I believe in taking care of myself - body and mind.As active and I can be at times, I also have a lazy, bumming-around side to me. I love sleeping in on Sundays, reading and drinking coffee in bed, going to movies, and watching football, The Voice, or Top Chef.Something good to know about me is that my family and friends are an important part of my life. I am a very loyal friend and person. I have solid relationships with my family and friends, and I love seeing my friends and family at least a couple of times a month for a long dinner out, with lots of laughter and good conversation.My family has definitely shaped the value I place on family.-fashioned: I'm looking for a partner who also values family, whatever that may look like. I like first date environments that can be brief if they need to be, like coffee - in the event that one person realizes early on the fit isn't there. What makes me unique is that I cannot settle down in one place for long- a few years at the most. When I was a kid, my family moved all over the world because my dad was in the military. As an adult, I moved every few years because of my job with the airlines. I've always envied my friends who could drive to the suburbs to see their families. For me, it's a 30 hour plane ride with a four hour connection in Tokyo. Yet, I do it three times a year. Despite always saying good-bye in various languages, my world has its benefits. I have seen more than most will see in their lifetimes. I know it's very cliche; but home is where the heart is. I really hope to settle down one day soon; but until then, I hope the man of my dreams will travel the world beside me. I cannot wait! I should NOT plan first dates. they're always flops. One time, I got into a really bad car accident (my fault), another one never had thai food before and was allergic to peanuts, I went to a casino once where my date learned he was a gambling addict- that was a long drive home.But the best date I ever had was sitting at the table outside whole foods eating lunch. A nice man asked me if he could join me. My lunch turned into a walk that became a date that lasted 3 hours. He gave me his number on a piece if paper. I put it in my pocket. As I walked home, it began to rain. By the time i pulled the piece of paper from my pocket, it was too late. The number was gone- smeared away. I guess it wasn't meant to be.I've had great dates and I've had bad ones. My ideal dates would be simple, relaxed, and harmless.

I enjoy....Music, concerts, beach, hikking, camping, going out on the town is always fun but I also like to stay home with my man at times as well.more to come.....

Well, let's see, I love sports, music, massage, movies, anything outdoors. I am a very blessed man. Last January 25, 2012 was suppose to be my last day on Earth, but God allowed me to recover. I like who I am. I make mistakes daily, but God sees that and still loves me. Sadly, men find it harder to, but I refuse to be an image someone patterns. I choose to be the man God made. My ideal of a first date would start off with us going out to a nice and laid back restaurant and spend hrs talking about ourselves. I love old movies and tv shows. I career in the dental field is taking off and I'm going back to school for more training in the fall. I don't go to clubs much. I'm more of a homebody who wants to find someone to cuddle with. I have a lot of love to give and I hope you do too.
