Hello and thanks for stopping by. I grew up in and around NYC and love all it has to offer; going to outdoor events, theater, museums and exploring the sights and sounds of various neighborhoods. Favorite activities are skiing, hiking, cycling and kayaking. Avid traveler and amateur photographer, I just got a digital SLR and took some great photos on vacation. I know that my life would be 'sweeter' sharing it with a man who really cares about me. I also know that I'm ready to be that person for someone, too. It's only taken me half my life to realize this, and to be in this mindset because I want to be, not because I feel as though someone 'my age'; should. (I hope you get the humor in that)I'm happy, fit and totally unself-conscious, except when writing these profiles. I have a sense of adventure without being a thrill-seeking junkie...I think my daily experiences are pretty exciting on any given day! Most mornings I work out, the usual could be running, spinning, weight training or kick boxing. I also enjoy a pretty challenging Hot Yoga class, once in a while.I cook with real butter and eat cheese. I prefer to eat whole and healthy food. Watercress and 'salads' aren't on the menu. That isn't to say I eat everything with no conscience I just keep it pretty healthy. Let's just say bread is NOT a bad word in my nutritional vocabulary. I love to cook and it's really a bit of self expression when I get into the kitchen. I am a wine-o with a pretty good palate, and discovering wines and sharing them with friends is a passion.I have a serious job, but don't take it too seriously. Let's just say I have time to meet someone and the desire to make a relationship top priority. I'm hoping to find somone who knows what he likes, lives a full life, and believes, as I do, that a partner would enhance his life. Anything else you want to know about me, might be better said on the phone or in a meeting. My friends describe me as a regular, down to earth type woman who enjoys the simple things in life....I love spending time with my friends and family. I enjoy going out to a romantic dinner for two or with a group of friends or just staying home and making dinner for that special someone....I am not particularly into the bar scene, unless I'm with a date (yes, that does make a difference). Although I'm told I'm attractive I am definitely not the barbie doll type so if that's your type, keep searching... I am most comfortable in my jeans flip flops/sandals (or boots in winter) but love getting dressed up too. I am a single/divorced mom with two grown boys ***, they are the loves of my life...but I definitely have room for one more special guy in my life. I work full time in the Financial Industry which, for the most part, I enjoy. Now that my boys are getting older I'm finding that "mommy" has a little more time on her hands and would like to meet someone to do fun, big people stuff with! I am actually looking for my best friend, the one who I can call for no reason or any reason...someone who can listen as well as talk (even to my silly girlie stories, ha, ha)...communication, honesty, trust friendship are the keys to a great relationship..I can be very mature one minute and very silly the next but know it's all in the right place at the right time. You know what they say - life is a journey - well, I got into the wrong car and drove down the wrong path, hit a few bumps. But, now that I'm going the right way again - and I am looking for a good man. I am looking for a relationship, a partner in life. I want someone who is kind, honest, sincere and down to earth. I've tried this once before and it was fun... so - I'm fishing again... never know what is out there until you take a dive. I love to hike and be outdoors.
