I'm an optimistic person with a good heart. I have a great sense of humor and love sarcasm as long as it's not mean-spirited. I can laugh at myself but prefer to laugh at you. :p I'm honest and loyal, sometimes to a fault. Yes, I have faults but I'm a work in progress. I'm certainly not perfect and don't expect it in someone else...how boring! I prefer to live in reality but have got lost in a fantasy world once or twice. Luckily, I have a pretty good sense of direction for a girl and find my way back. I haven't given up on love. With that said, I'm not on a desperate search to find it either. I think it will find you, you just have to live your life and be open to the possibility and take a calculated risk once in a while. That got more serious than I meant for it to. I'm a working mom and my kids are my priority. But I also make time for myself and enjoy getting out with friends...live music, movies, and traveling when the opportunity presents itself. I hate this part. Umm. Ok. Let’s see. I'm pretty laid back most of the time, I love to laugh and I live a happy life. I have a good job, a drama free life and it doesn't bother me to be single. But- if I could find a compatible person to share time with, that would be icing on the cake. I love road trips. I tend to stay about as busy as I want to be, even though declining invites can be difficult. I have learned to take some down time. I believe in the Golden Rule, self-pride, integrity, and loyalty. I've never cheated and haven't been cheated on much but I know that many people have been. Mutual trust is essential; I think if you no longer want to be with someone, you should make it known to them. I’ve been single a long time, haven’t really dated much since ***, been busy just having fun and doing my own thing. My profile is offline a lot because I think dating is a total nightmare and I just don’t choose to use my excess patience wading through all the nonsense – it’s not like I have that much to spare to begin with. ;-) Anyway, if you are still reading, and you want to know more, you know what to do. I'm not really into the whole butch/femme dynamic, and I can honestly say I am equally comfortable in either role, but I do tend to fall for more feminine women. I can be jeans and boots at a campfire one night, and dress and heels at the opera the next. Although, no matter how I'm dressed or where I live, I am a country boy at heart. I think first dates should be simple, second dates should be exciting, and third dates should be awesome. The most important thing on a first date is an atmosphere conducive to conversation - no movies or loud music shows.

I love football and most sports. I'm a BIG fan of SEC football especially. NFL isn't bad either but there ain't nothing like that college ball...lol. I really like watching most sports live. I love to laugh so hard it makes my sides hurt. Comedians are good too - live or on tv/dvd. I enjoy everything from watching a movie at home to getting a wild hair and going on a road trip. I've traveled a lot and would love to finish my goal of visiting every state. I'm not someone you have to impress. I am just as happy sitting at home watching tv on the couch or going to play pool with friends or having a night out of live music and dancing. I like the outdoors (minus the mosquitos...ugh!). I enjoy swimming, skiing, walking on the beach, canoeing or riding in a boat, horseback riding and camping too -- ski slopes, beaches, waterfronts and mountainsides, I love them all. Family is important to me and I love spending time with my niece and nephew since I don't have children. I love my friend's kids too. You must be a dog lover too. I have one and would love more. Other pets aren't bad either, but nothing that slithers - lol. I like what I do for a living, but am always open to new opportunities and new challanges. If that means moving - well then I'm open to that too. One of my most fun first dates was playing goofy golf. I like things like that. Maybe go hear some live music, watch a comedy on dvd or maybe cook out and watch some football. Playing board games or video games is good too. As long as we can talk, laugh and get to know each other - that's what I like. Surprise me.
