I am at a place in my life where I feel I could offer what I expect out of a relationship. I am finding that I am either pickier than I believed I was or there are less people out there now that I relate to. I bore easily in situations in which I don't feel inspired to grow and learn as a person. It's not a piece of cake to maintain my interest but i think it would come effortless to the right person. As a past smoker, I understand if you smoke but you're going to have to sell me on why you're so awesome, I should overlook it. I also used to drink and now I don't. I give a big hurrah to those who drink but if it's something you do on a regular basis, especially to excess, it's a deal breaker for me. I don't expect anyone to change to meet my expectations. I know there are others out there whose ideas match my own. While I expect to differ on many things or ideas, it's important to me to find someone I enjoy spending time with doing little to nothing, with similar thoughts, ideas, hobbies and passions. I don't think that's asking too much. Expecting someone to change would be...I am quite comfortable spending time by myself but I would love to find someone who can maintain my interest. When I find someone I really enjoy, I like to see them as much as possible. I am not the woman to throw herself casually into anything. I think it's time for someone to sweep me off my feet. I am not going to ask myself out...Don't guys pursue women anymore? I believe pretty strongly that the guy should plan the date. I'm not sure if that's sheer old fashionedness or just a belief that a guy can put in some work to woo a girl. It may suck to plan a date you're afraid she won't like, but I promise not to complain since I put you up to the task. I also think that after we meet, the guy should probably pick her up as well. I really would be open to most things. Dinner, coffee, frisbee golf, a walk, a game, fishing, etc. I would rather be creative than cliche but it's really all about who you are as a person.

People tell me I'm funny, and I'm definitely sarcastic. This side of me is more apparent the more I get to know someone. I think it is great to "unplug" for a few days. I like to cook and bake. I am the type of person who will bake you your favorite cookies just because. I like new experiences, and I want to expose my children to different things, so I take them camping, to the theater, museums, sporting events, concerts, etc. It would be great to have another adult to enjoy these things with too. :) I am a self-proclaimed nerd. I read a lot (my bookshelves are overflowing), watch a lot of movies, know a bunch of random facts and trivia, can quote movies and TV shows, and use made-up words like floopy. I am a very open-minded, tolerant individual. I think everyone is entitled to their beliefs/opinions, as long as those beliefs do not infringe on the rights of anyone else. I don't mind if we don't agree about politics or religion, as long as you don't try to force your beliefs on me.What am I looking for? Communication, an open-mind, laughing til it hurts. Someone who is physically, emotionally, and intellectually compatible. Intelligent conversation. Someone who will challenge my mind. It may sound corny, but I recently heard the song "Smile" by Uncle Kracker on the radio, and I thought--that's what I want. And that's what I want to be for somebody. Mostly because I would much rather spend my time out of my apartment than in. If something ends in "festival", its on my list of things to check out. I'm generally up for about anything that won't put me in jail or have me jumping out of a plane or off a bridge. I enjoy being spontaneous & am happy to decide on Friday afternoon to go away for the weekend. If this is a dealbreaker, so be it. I should mention that I don't mind if YOU like to zipline, but I can't be converted.I'm not very competitive. My nature is more on the side of hoping everybody is having a good time, rather than hoping to kick their ass at something.
