Time for a update. I've had the crazy rock star life, and now I'm ready to grow up some. Honestly, im ready to settle down, with someone on my level. I consider myself a laid back, easy - going person that likes to have fun. I love all types of music - from rock to rap to country. I love watching movies - scary is probably my favorite. I think of myself as an ambitious person - I've always been pretty independent and work hard for what I have. I like working out - it is a true stress reliever and gives me the chance to listen to music! I also believe that laughter is the best medicine! I love being around people that make me a better person - there's nothing better than knowing you are making a difference.I'm very family oriented - my family is my rock and I would do anything for them. I would describe myself as an easy going person, but have certain goals for my life. I try to surround myself with good people and try to have fun with others. I think the most important thing in a relationship is if you can laugh with the person and I am looking for a person who I can have fun with. I honestly don't take myself too seriously and try to make those around me have a good time. The occasional break out into song has happened a few times! Awkward silence makes me feel awkward which makes me talk about nothing important to get the conversation going or to make lame joke which either succeeds or fails...it's a coin toss at times.I try to find the good in situations and others before passing judgement, something I was taught and learned from my parents. My family is a huge part of my life and they mean the world to me and I am looking for someone who understands that. I do enjoy going out to bars, but not all the time, I enjoy a simple night at home watching a movie or a game rather than crazy night out. First dates are awkward...there is no way around it! The best first date is one where there isn't a lot of pressure and you can be yourself, and the best to achieve that is to do something fun. Going into a date with the pressure of getting a relationship out of it at the end is never going to work. Have the first date be casual where a friendship can start builds the best relationships.

I have 2 small children, 3yrs and 4 yrs. I live with my mother after my divorce because quite frankly I can't afford to take care of my children right and pay all my bills. OK. Two things to start...1. I'm not looking for a pen-pal or a texting/chatting friend. That's lame and not the reason I'm here.2. I don't respond to one or two word messages. I am really unsure what to write about myself and I think it's silly to spend time trying to describe my "ideal mate" SO I will start with what I think you need to know...-I am very into family and am looking for a guy who doesn't hate his family, or at least likes mine.-I want someone who is educated and is capable of carrying on an adult conversation. -I'm addicted to Crossfit-Someone who actually LIKES his job would be a plus, as I rather enjoy mine (a lot!). -I love becoming engrossed in a good book and my books-to-read pile is constantly growing.-HUGE bonus points if you know the appropriate use of your/you're as well as there/their/they're. Come on...it really isn't that difficult.-Clean white sheets and white towels are my thing.-My biggest pet peeve is when people try to get onto the elevator before letting you off.-I am a neat-freak, sometimes to a fault. -I love going to hole-in-the-wall bars but am equally happy at home cooking dinner with music and a nice glass of wine.- I rather enjoy cooking, but it is much more enjoyable when cooking for two.-I am a foodie.... Love trying new places to eat and different foods. And I'm not a salad kind of girl. Chances are pretty good that I can out eat you.-I love a good laugh and want someone who can also appreciate the humor in life.-I'm into running and love doing local 5k races and themed runs.-I'm VERY active and into exercise and would love someone who shares that passion. -I do not take pictures of myself with my cell phone. Like most, I'm probably on here for the same reason as others in that it just gets a little harder as you get older and prefer not to meet someone in the bar/club scene. I mean i've always told my self i'm a normal girl and I go to bars so chances are I could potentially meet a normal guy there. Reality is I don't go often enough and I am quite shy in person when first meeting someone.;)So a little about me... Growing up in FL you would guess right in that I love anything outdoors whether it be biking and camping to sporting events and outside festivals. I have a huge family here and spend time with them often. Especially my 2yr old niece who is quickly becoming my little partner in crime. We love hanging out at the park, zoo and aquarium. Well I know I love to and she works as a very good excuse for me to be able to go there, lol.I am stable (not just mentally, haha)... I have a great and extremely rewarding job as a Pediatric ICU nurse. It can be emotional at times but I love every minute of it and I feel I am right where I am suppose to be. It has allowed me have a free schedule of working 3 days and having 4 off which allows me time to spend with family, volunteer, and travel which I hope to start doing more off in the future. I'm actually going to Germany in Sept/Oct for Oktoberfest & more. So excited for that!What I am looking for... We could all go on make a long laundry list of our needs and wants of a relationship and partner but we also all know that sometimes you cant control who you fall for. I don't have a set type...I'm basically looking for someone who them selves are genuine, kind, respectful and old fashioned. Someone who knows what they believe in and knows what they want.
