I would describe myself as an easy going person, but have certain goals for my life. I try to surround myself with good people and try to have fun with others. I think the most important thing in a relationship is if you can laugh with the person and I am looking for a person who I can have fun with. I honestly don't take myself too seriously and try to make those around me have a good time. The occasional break out into song has happened a few times! Awkward silence makes me feel awkward which makes me talk about nothing important to get the conversation going or to make lame joke which either succeeds or fails...it's a coin toss at times.I try to find the good in situations and others before passing judgement, something I was taught and learned from my parents. My family is a huge part of my life and they mean the world to me and I am looking for someone who understands that. I do enjoy going out to bars, but not all the time, I enjoy a simple night at home watching a movie or a game rather than crazy night out. I'm at a good place in my life, I have a job I enjoy and a new house. I'm looking for someone I can get to know and start a friendship first and see where it goes from there. First dates are awkward...there is no way around it! The best first date is one where there isn't a lot of pressure and you can be yourself, and the best to achieve that is to do something fun. Going into a date with the pressure of getting a relationship out of it at the end is never going to work. Have the first date be casual where a friendship can start builds the best relationships.

    I am one sarcastic lady. No, this doesn't imply I like being mean and having other people be mean to me. Quite the opposite actually. I enjoy lightening the mood and laughing whenever possible.     lol But really? I don't want to meet you if you look like you can't lighten up a bit for a photo. I had to get that off my chest. hahaFirst, I live in the cities and work at a daycare with infants. I consider myself geek-light. lol I know little bits of random things, but I'm really not a hardcore geek about too many things. haha. I'm a little bit of a homebody, but I do like to get out every now and then. I am in belly dance classes and have been for a couple years now. It doesn't mean I'm amazing at it, but I think I might be able to carry a little bit of a rhythm. A little. I have a background in massage therapy, though I don't practice right now. I also have training in energy work and aromatherapy and such. In the fall I'll be training to be a doula. I'm excited about that and ready for something new.I like a wide range of movies, music, etc. One minute I'm watching a rom-com, the next is a bollywood movie or some random other foreign movie. haha I admit not liking "scary" movies for 2 reasons. 1)most of them are actually horrible. 2)I'm a big wuss. lol I don't watch much for tv just because I don't have cable. Just the internet and local stations. I'm currently just waiting for (BBC) Sherlock to release it's new season. That's a little bit of my "geek" side. Music, I have few guilty pleasures that I don't really feel guilty about. I listen to rock, pop, some of whatever is on pop radio, not country though. I just can't get into it. Again, it's really just what my mood is calling for. I grew up listening to Weird Al, and I will reach for my Disturbed albums, or Backstreet Boys. Tease me all you like. I love cheesy stuff sometimes (movies, too).I am quite a bit shy from time to time, and other times I'll talk your ear off. I have to be comfortable first. So, I really need someone that isn't afraid to talk, even if it's most of the night. lol I TRY to have a good sense of humor about myself. I'm pretty mellow and take maybe 15 minutes to get ready in the morning. (Probably because those babies really don't care if I'm wearing any makeup). I dress up from time to time to go out, but I'm most comfortable in jeans and a shirt just relaxing at home.
