I am high spirited and fun loving. I love to laugh and be playful, as well as have late night meaningful conversations. Music has always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with it all around me. I started singing at a very young age and even played a few instruments. I love almost all kinds of music, but I will always be a bit of a rock and roll girl. When I find the time, I like to get into creative mode, crafting, taking photographs and decorating. I love having something to look forward to, whether it's the next vacation, camping trip, or just the up and coming weekend. Great dinners out trying exotic foods are so much fun to me, but I also enjoy curling up on the couch with bowl of popcorn and watching a funny movie. I tend to stay up too late and hate to get up early. My favorite place in the world is anywhere by the ocean! I live for summer and suffer through winter. Fitness and nutrition is really important to me and I try to stay in good shape. Due to a recent ankle injury I can't go as hard as I used to, so lately Palates is my new exercise. After having living in such different worlds, I've never lost the travel bug and am always up for either a spontaneous or planned trip.I have a teenage daughter who keeps me curious. It's amazing to rediscover the world through her eyes as she grows up. That curiosity drives me to read a lot about everything from the arts to different cultures to current events to social issues.What do I value in other people? Kindness coupled with a sense of humor, especially the ability to laugh at yourself, is a welcome trait. Being honest and kind with ourselves can help drive honest communication with others, it's also important when others value their health just as I do.What do I like to do besides travel? My sense of fun opens a big door to the world! At home, I enjoy yard work and attempting DIY home projects. I may not be great at those projects, but at least I'm not afraid to give them a try. I also love dancing - preferably with someone else. Though, I've been known to grab the cat for a spin in the living room if the music is good enough. And I must confess a guilty pleasure. I like to get outdoors a lot, out to the mountains, or maybe to another country. I'm interested in the world, ready to learn more about myself and others, and would love to get to know another person deeply in a long-term relationship. A deep relationship has a lot of value to me. I'm not looking for "happiness" in life - I'm looking to experience a range of emotions, acknowledging the pain and the beauty of everyday life. I don't mean that in a trite way - it seems like we can get preoccupied with thinking we're supposed to be happy all of the time, and miss out on some really special people, places, feelings. I'm interested in a lot of things, and get excited about exploring ideas from all points of view. I like healthy living, (physically, emotionally, etc) and am excited to make healthy changes - some of which can be pretty hard. Not interested in drugs or heavy drinking (but I love a good IPA or glass of wine). There's a lot to learn, about myself and others and the world, and I'm open to it, and open to growing and changing. I dream of living in a beautiful home somehow close to nature, and feeling calm, creative, and comfortable with a partner there. I don't like lots of clutter - I get too confused! My friends would describe me as progressive (or maybe liberal) in most arenas, definitely not conservative. They would probably also say I'm over-educated and on occasion a little too excitable. I've deeply interested in experimental music of all kinds - classical, jazz, punk rock, indie rock - the stuff that some people might call weird. I love camping and backpacking, and don't mind getting dirty and uncomfortable (literally and metaphorically - really digging and dealing with the tough stuff in life is kind of fun!). It would be wonderful to have someone to experience the world with, to really dig in and experience life. Hmm, a first date could be a walk in a park, or a cup of coffee, someplace relaxing and not too noisy so we can talk and learn more about each other. Since I'm interested in a long-term relationship, I'm not in a hurry, I really do want to learn about each other first. Isn't that one of the benefits of having a little more experience? If that first date is fun, then a second date could be a hike or a day skiing, something that's a mix of activity and fun. I might save a movie or dinner for a 3rd date, but I do love good food and an interesting, compelling movie.

I'm a country girl at heart, just looking for a partner to go thru the rest of life with. Tired of not being able to share my life with another adult that I can confide in. Want that special someone to take walks, rides, hang out with. Have alot to offer that guy. But you have to like kids too, cause I got one of each kind at home, and they are my world. I am an artist, and spend alot of time in my studio creating. Also spend time in the barn with the horses. I'll leave that note in your lunch or coat pocket that will tell you what I want to do to you when you get home. Like all kinds of music, but there's usually country playing in the barn. Like going to the drive-in in the summer. Read alot at night. I'm a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl, but clean up real good. First dates should be somewhere public, like a diner or park. We can walk, talk, have a coffee, etc. Get to know each other and see if there's a spark of some sort.
