Obviously I’ve included some pictures that say something about me: my travels, relatives, adventures, pets, political leanings, life lessons and humor. I will tell you up front, I’m very political and want to be able to talk about it intelligently and become more active in that realm. I have a BS in Biblical Studies. It was very expensive. Too expensive. I’d have been better off being an electrician. But I’d be bored as hell! I will often play the part of devil’s advocate in a conversation. Not because I mean to be trying, but because my mind is always thinking about the end result…philosophy courses in college made me evaluate and question everything! I do smoke. It is an awful habit and would love to quit but just haven’t been able to yet. I have 2 cats who I love and who are exacerbating in their own ways! I love good music, preferably 60’s and 70’s, good movies (am a Marvel and sci-go, fantasy nerd! Documentaries, too.) I don’t read as much as I’d like to, but when I do, I enjoy Revolutionary War histories and corresponding biographies; books of a spiritual nature (Rob Bell, John Pavlovitz, Anne Lamott, Marianne Williamson) The first 3 are very liberal Christians. Some would call the men heretics, but I really think they’ve unearthed the truths lying under the heaps of discord and division, traditions and theologies. Two years ago on Valentines Day, I left my partner of 20 years. It was devastating for both of us, and I haven’t been prepared to move forward until now. I’m not looking for a romantic relationship but am open to letting a friendship blossom into something greater. I like to do easy to moderate hiking on uncrowded trails. Nature helps me de stress. I work for a warehouse store. It isn’t the best paying or most fulfilling job I’ve ever had, but the management is friendly and flexible, and I have great co-workers. Not things I’ve had in too many jobs through the years! I’ve had my Covid booster and still wear masks when I leave the apartment. I’ve noticed that they help keep my face warm on the colder days…a reason to be thankful! I’d like to learn something about you, too.
