I grew up in Toronto, Canada, and despite years being away from my homeland, it’s hard to take the Canadian soul out of the girl. I moved to SC/Savannah, Georgia after college and was a high school physics teacher in my first life career. After my grandpa had multiple strokes, I was his caregiver and deeply cherished the time I had with him, especially as he taught me to live both life and death with grace, joy and acceptance. I became a physical therapist because of him and love working with folks of all ages to improve their independance and quality of life, despite pain and disability. I am fiercely independent, a science geek, nature lover and newly discovered that the mountains sing to my soul! I lived on a South Carolina barrier island in the salt marsh and ocean ecosystems, but I’m loving learning Montana history and geology. I must admit I’m struggling with the pervasive Trump supporting hatred that seems to be everywhere these days. My kids have almost finished high school. For many years, I considered myself bi and fell in love with the person, not the gender. But over the years, I found my greatest love affairs were with women and I am happiest now as a gay woman. I am also happiest off the beaten path, hiking new trails and parks; sleeping and cooking outside is so romantic. I have been told the best word to describe me is passionate, basically about everything. About love, learning, embracing the moment and enjoying wherever I am. I wish I cared a little less about politics these days as it certainly isn’t doing anything for my serenity! I am a scholar at heart and can never get enough learning how are earth works at more detailed levels. I would love to find a woman with her own passions and dreams.

I have a deep respect for the outdoors and feel like I can safely call it home. The outdoors will always be there- in every season, there’s a reason to go outside and get to know what’s around you. It’s a great thing to share with a loved one. Cold nights and hot chocolate, adventures out on open water. Hiking through trails, camping, even just taking a walk and breathing fresh air for a little while.The outdoors represent freedom to me- there’ Being away from a schedule and connection to the world is sublime. There’s always something to learn outdoors. Thinking you know something completely is a sure way to leave blood on the trail. I’ve had my fair share of close calls, bloody knees, cold nights and hunger pangs, but the beauty of the outdoors is in its design. That’s probably the biggest reason I love the outdoors- because I know I’m designed for it.

I moved here from CT in jan 2009. i have 2 sons 1 is 10 yrs old. the other is 26yrs old.I like camping,parks,long car rides, cook outs, hanging out with family and friends,playing board games. Being new to the area everything is a new experience.I am a very independant person.i like to try to do things on my own before i ask for help, which at times can be a good thing, or even a bad thing. i like to do home projects One of the things i like to do on a first date is go to a coffee house,or a local park and just talk and kind of get to know eachother.I like first dates to be casual so both people feel comfortable, as i can be a little shy at first.I also like it if the other person has some imput as far as what to do or where to go.

Diversion tactics, foreign agents, border guards, evasive maneuvers. I am adding double agents and counter intelligence. Does it really have to be this difficult? Ideally, we will meet somewhere for coffee or drinks, just to chat and see how we feel in each others' presence. And then go from there...

I am a confident, hard working woman. I'm looking for someone to have some fun with and perhaps find a relationship. For instance, a ball game, a movie, a play, etc. I know that doesn't offer much time for conversation, but by the time you get to that first date, I believe you should have had at least a few conversations already. If you are comfortable enough to just hang out with someone that's the great feeling. After your activity, then perhaps some coffee or dinner and conversation. I just don't like that awkward first meeting to be sitting across the table from someone trying to find something to talk about non-stop. Maybe I'm alone on that--what do you think? Being with someone during an activity gives you a great insight into who they really are and what their personality is really like.
