I am at an age and point in my life where I strongly desire to find someone to develop a lasting relationship with.I look forward to days when I can come home after a long day at work, or even just a trip to the store, and not only give but receive a big smile, hug, and a kiss from the one I love. I want that person who I can share the last hug before going to sleep at night, and the first hug that wakes you in the morning, and those great kisses in between. None of us are perfection, but we can be perfect for each other. I believe at our age we know what we are looking for in a relationship, and if we have been married before, and are here now as it did not work out, we know what we do not want in a relationship. I want to find that person I can laugh with, cry with, and feel protected and comforted by. I can certainly take care of myself, but do not want to go through life alone. I want to truly know what real and lasting love is, a partner who becomes my best friend, someone I can share all that life has to offer with, and someone I can grow old with (and that will be for many years, because I am far from it now), and someone I can still be deeply and passionately in love with at 95. Interested in a serious, long-term relationship which could possibly lead to marriage again- with someone completely divorced as I am (not just recently and still dealing with emotions), and not just separated (this still means married legally which is in my Must Not Be list), . First, and only marriage, 25 years, so that should tell you about my commitment. Age range is important. I work full-tme and still have teens at home so the work week can be busy depending on the season. I would enjoy spending time either doing things at home together, relaxing, or venturing out to take in the local parks, stores, festivals, the arts, live music, outdoor music venues are wonderful, sporting events, or anything that may be going on around town. In the summer I like relaxing on the deck, staring at the evening stars. In the fall maybe watching a game together, and in the winter, snuggling by a fire enjoying each other’s company and the feeling of closeness. I am not a materialistc or fake person. I take care of myself; I take pride in myself, my work, and anything I set out to do. If I set goals, I will make all attempts to see that they are fulfilled. Honesty and faithfulness are extremely important to me. Non-smokers only, and I would prefer someone in good health, and who takes care of themselves, as I make all attempts to stay healthy, exercise, and do not over-indulge on a regular basis. Random thoughts about me....Good relationships require compromise. I am willing. To have good friends, you must be one.I have 2 ears and one mouth….I’m a very good listener.I am nice to waiters/waitresses.Dark chocolate cures everything.I will do the right thing, though it may not always be the easy thing. I believe you can resolve differences without being cruel. I will always try to take the high road. Not afraid of hard work. I know how to use punctuation so I don’t accidently eat my grandmother. Getting down on the floor and rubbing my dog’s belly is one of my favorite things.Dogs do smile and they usually do for me.I can be downright silly.There is no other feeling like when we hold hands….and kiss. Prefer smaller intimate places to commercialized crowded places.My passport is at the ready. I will gladly sit and watch football all day….and enjoy it.Prefer shopping at flea markets as opposed to malls. I will always try to think the best of people first….but I am not a fool.I understand about shrinkage. I vote for whoever I think will do a better job. My parents taught me manners and I use them. I am an athletic person that enjoys most sports and the outdoors. Some of my favorites are bicycle and motorcycle riding, jogging, beach volleyball on the weekends and just staying active. I get along with all types of people especially those that like to laugh and smile like myself. It would be nice to meet someone with similar interests to spend time with. Looking to get out and start enjoying life again now that my youngest has graduated high school. Hope to start dating casually, and, who knows, maybe it will lead to something long term. I own a small business so I'm a little bit married to my work, but I still have time to enjoy life. There's so much out there to see and do. I want to experience as much as possible. I love to travel and see new places and try new things. I'm a very young 50 something and nowhere near ready for retirement. I enjoy being active, to a certain extent; I might not go as far as parachuting any more, but I'd be willing to try parasailing again!I'd rather do things than own things so I'm not that big on shopping, but I must admit that now that I 've lost about 30 lbs. over the last year, shopping is a little bit more fun. I'm comfortable in jeans and sneakers or in a little black dress; at a hot dog stand at the ballpark, a picnic at the beach, or a 5 star restaurant. I have a wide variety of interests so I don't fit into any one particular social category, but I do not like stuffy, pretentious people.I'm not particularly religious, but I have a strong sense of right and wrong and am looking for a man with a good set of values. I guess that rules out used car salesmen and lawyers. ; ) The man I'm looking for is hardworking and honest; likes to experience life and learn new things.
