Wow, I just had someone tell me that I shouldn't expect many women wanting to go out with me because I am nothing more than a bartender. I truly hope that is not the case because it really shows that women are more shallow then men. I spent 27 years as a counselor for juvenile offenders and finally just needed a break so now I am told that I will be penalized for not having a career goal lol. Wow. I hope that there is a woman who is kind, beautiful and classy that can see that it isn't the job that the man does but the man that does the job that is more important. By the way, bartenders make twice what counselors do.Ok I am adding this. First and foremost I want to have fun in a relationship. I do not like to have to jockey for mental and emotional position. I do not want to spend my life trying to determine who is more intelligent, who has been hurt more or who is better at something. That is keeping score and no one needs that. We have all been hurt or we wouldn't be here, we all have something to bring to the table so I guess what I am saying is that two of the biggest gifts you can give your partner are respect and manners, so if you can't be respectful and play nice then I am not your man. Relationships are hard enough work without someone trying to "one up" the other all of the time. I want to be in love with someone that can love me back for who I am and not try to make me who they want me to be. No one on here is perfect by any means, so if you want to talk to me then be nice. Thank you.To tell you who I am in this is impossible, it is impossible to tell you who anyone is in just a few short sentences. I am complex and yet still very simplistic. I am a man that believes in love and who believes that it is possible to love one person and to adore them more with each passing day. I am a man that is both rugged and athletic but with a soft sensitive side that only a few people get to see. When I love it is with my whole heart and soul, but I have to be loved back with equal emotion.; I am also the kind of romantic that thinks laying in a hammock on beach with you just enjoying the sounds of the waves is wonderful; or just holding hands while walking through a park; or a simple kiss snuck in in the frozen foods while no one is looking. I am the type of romantic that believes romance is a feeling and not an action. Anything can be romantic if you are with the right person. I love to travel, to see new places that I have never seen before, but I also love to share those places, as well as the places I already know, with someone I care about. Nothing in life is as good alone as it is with someone special. I love to laugh and thus funny movies are my favorite as well as action. I am into various types of music but rock and roll (new and classic) is still my favorite. The beach is the most wonderful place in the world and I would so love to live there someday. I do work predominantly evenings so I have to be with someone that is understanding and patient (it won't always be this way) or someone else on the same schedule. Who I am looking for is simple. I want someone who knows how to love and be loved, and while that sounds like a no brainer that is still harder to find then one might think. I am a chameleon, meaning I can find in at any social gathering from a black tie affair to a backyard bonfire, and I would love to have someone else like that. I love cerebral conversation and I think it is sexy when someone has a great mind. I do work out so I would at least like someone who also cares about your appearance. I'm not trying to be a jerk but if you are content to be overweight or someone who is never wants to get out then I am probably not for you. I don’t want some diva or gym rat, but someone who does want to look as nice for me as I want to look for them. And finally, if your ideal of passion is an old pair of sweat pants, a bowl of popcorn and tv movie then I am probably not for you. Those things are great in context but I also like a night out at station square or the waterfront too. I still have plenty of fuel in the tank and need someone who can be just as passionate about love, sex, life and living as I do. If this isn’t you then we probably wouldn’t get along.
