Me... I come from blue collar roots but am a white collar professional working in a career that most days I truly love. My work ethic as well as my love of learning new things has taken me far and I'm proud that I can pay my bills, save a little and yet still have some for fun. What are my fun things? Travel... What else do I find fun...cooking...from making something for an office potluck to cooking for or with those that I love... Bowling...I've been bowling since I was in grade school...am I good....not the greatest but can hold my own most days...and I LOVE a good bowling competition! Volunteering...right now my volunteering has been centered on my son's JROTC...helping raise money for their Booster Club and also providing a little more organization in the way of their technology so it's easier for everyone to stay informed of current JROTC events. But I think I'd also have a great time doing volunteer work for Habit for Humanity or helping in the same capacity for Wounded Warriors...though I think that would be much more fun with a partner in crime...and I have to say I'm somewhat handy...I did *** own wood laminate flooring in my townhome...and learned the concept of paying for labor...but what a feeling of accomplishment when it was completed! Live music...concerts, music fests or just finding some enjoyable local music...especially in an outdoor setting. Kids...I have a 23-year--year- I find myself searching for someone that has grown kids, no kids and they don't have a desire to have any but are fine with mine since they're grown, or their own that are also teens and about to leave the nest as well.Who am I looking for? Well as I've gotten older I've realized that although chemistry is important it's not THE most important thing. There still has to be a chemistry...from both sides for it to grow beyond friendship...but what the person brings to the table has grown more important to me. No, I'm not talking about what's in your bank account or wallet (although if you make a considerable amount less than I do it's probably not going to work...I want to get out and do things and don't want to be the person that's always paying). Are you going to make me laugh? Will my opinions and perspectives in life matter to you...and not only when they agree with yours but also when they may be at the other end of the spectrum? Are you intelligent and do you like to continue to learn new things? Are you a conversationalist or will the conversation only carry on because of my prompts? If I'm having a great day or have a new achievement to share will you be as excited as me? And if I'm having a bad day or have encountered bad/sad news will you be there with a comforting shoulder and/or ear? It's rare that I find myself in a bad mood and hope that you're the same but also want someone that's willing to share/communicate their feelings whether they're good or not so good.Will you support my dreams and goals and let me be your champion in all that you strive to accomplish? Has alcohol become a necessity in your life? No, I'm not anti-alcohol and do drink socially myself, but if I find that it has become a necessity in your life...well that's not something I want at my table. But most of all...will you respect me by always telling me the truth whether I may want to hear it or not? Because honesty is key to any great relationship. Meet for coffee? Pizza and soda/beer? Some place comfortable and where we can actually carry on a conversation and get to know one another.And when we meet.....if IT isn't there for you....no hard feelings if you don't want a second date (or I don't)....but please be honest about it. Sure my feelings might be hurt just a tiny bit (or maybe not at all) but I will get over it. :)
