(don't know what that means? just ask :-)I've put quite a bit of time into being a caregiver and am ready for someone to pull me back into the mainstream. I enjoy movies, amusement parks, zoos, car shows/events, walks, drinks and a (bad) game of pool, and pretty much anything in the right company.As far as age goes, it's just a number. Been there, done that, and seen so many pics of fish on this site that I feel like the smell is starting to rub off. Sounds silly that I need to get this out of the way first, but here it goes...I'm not looking for a quick hookup or someone who is less than honest about their intentions. If you're married or otherwise attached, please do not contact me. With that out of the way... I am single and looking for one person to get to know and spend some time with.... I like to do active things, disc golf, hiking, walking in the many parks in the area as well as downtown...I am not a materialistic person, I am really looking for someone who has the time to invest in a relationship. With that said.... I really do enjoy "me" time and would expect the other person to want the same. My idea of quality time is not sitting in front of the tv. Not to say that I don't like to veg on occasion, but not what I want to spend all of my time doing. I exercise at least 4 days a week and would like to find someone who is health conscious...not a health nut, but lives a balanced life style. My kids are nearly grown.... okay one grown and in college and the other is a senior in high school, going to college next year. They are both fairly independent, which is amazing to see what men they are becoming.I spent six years in the Marine Corps and enjoyed serving my country. Honesty and faithfulness is very important. Not into games. Everyone has baggage and the carry on is fine, but please no checked bags :)I enjoy the 80's rock mostly. I do enjoy going to the movies (not on a first date)... like comedies and action. Not so much into Sci Fi and definintely not horror flicks. I like sunsets, bonfires, camping, boating (any kind... canoeing to sailing!), hiking, walks on the Lakewalk. A quiet glass of wine. Perhaps a movie. And I like many types of music, from Gregorian chant to hip hop! The only genre I really don't like is CW. I'm pretty active and am putting concerted effort into health and nutrition as I approach 50.It's really nice to have someone to appreciate and to be appreciated. Someone to smile for, to love on and cuddle with, to care for and be cared about, all that great relationship stuff. The burden really is half and the joy double when the right personalities come together. So, ultimately, that's what I'm looking to have again someday. My free time is quite valuable to me, so I like to make the most of it with family and friends, or sometimes just go off on a hike by myself or go and sit on the rocks by the lake. My personality is to be fun and spontaneous but my schedule is actually quite planned because I'm a small business owner, part-time employee, sole parent and dog owner. But I always manage to find time for fun!Yeah, about kids and dogs: I have a couple of each living at home, full time. I also have a large extended family that I like to get together with several times a year, and we're quite a diverse bunch, ethnically, racially, religiously. First dates are about getting to know one another, so someplace where conversation is possible, like a restaurant or coffee shop would be nice. If the weather is nice, perhaps a walk on the Lakewalk?
