One thing I'd like to say right off the start is....if you're profile says you are "Looking for a relationship" please mean what you say. I'm tired of those that end up saying, "I'm just not ready for dating yet, or I just don't know what I want or someone from my past has just come back into my life". You need to have phone calls. I love the little things in life & have lots of love to give, but I want someone to like me for who I am & am tired of catering to a man with no appreciation. I want a real man, not some wimpy mama's boy.; responsibilities together. A man that still opens the door for me & lights candles once in awhile will win me over!! Flowers are a nice plus, but they can be picked from a ditch & still mean the same as purchased from a florist! It's the thought that counts.Please don't take this wrong-not sure about raising real young children again, mine are grown & gone now. I'm a grandmother of 5, so honestly, it all comes down to the kids and how well we all get along.The most important thing in my life is:HONESTY-FAITHFULLNESS & COMMUNICATION - Having a "true" friend. Finding a lifetime partner- A man who wants the same!!If you're a liar then stay away. If your a cheater forget it. Don't have time for players, users, liars & cheaters.If your an alcoholic or into drugs, don't ask, not interested. Been there, dealt with that. Don't really care for smokers or tobacco chewers either, sorry, just being honest here. In the summer I like to ride the Harley & I prefer to correspond with a guy for awhile by e-mail, IM chatting, texts & phone, etc., before actually going out with them. Eventually, phone calls are important to get to know each other, not just texts. You can't hear the tones, emotion and joy or sorrow from a text message. I guess a nice first time date would maybe be.....something that we are both interested in.....somewhere we can still be able to talk and get to know each other.... It all depends on our interests.....???? It's not about where you are or what your doing, but with WHO you're with that matters :)Hope to meet you soon!

Sounds silly that I need to get this out of the way first, but here it goes...I'm not looking for a quick hookup or someone who is less than honest about their intentions. I like to do active things, disc golf, hiking, walking in the many parks in the area as well as downtown...I am not a materialistic person, I am really looking for someone who has the time to invest in a relationship. Not to say that I don't like to veg on occasion, but not what I want to spend all of my time doing. My kids are nearly grown.... okay one grown and in college and the other is a senior in high school, going to college next year. They are both fairly independent, which is amazing to see what men they are becoming.I spent six years in the Marine Corps and enjoyed serving my country. Honesty and faithfulness is very important. Not into games. Everyone has baggage and the carry on is fine, but please no checked bags :)I enjoy the 80's rock mostly. I moved to this area 5+... GO CARDINALS!! I'm comfortable financially, and frugal to a fault sometimes. I'm not cheap, but I do love finding that one of a kind bargain. I believe that life is too short to hate anyone, even those who may deserve it by some standards. My friends would say that in a crowd, I'm shy at first, but just wait until I've warmed up! I don't drink regularly by any means, but if given the right bartender, situation and group of friends, I've been known to have a few drinks just for fun.I believe that life is precious and sacred, mine and most every one else's. I won't turn my back on a friend, ever. I keep my word and expect the same from others, always, even if the truth hurts.I love to travel, especially when it's faster and easier to fly (think tropical!) , however, I have a convertible and LOVE those road trips, with the top down, as well.At this time in my life, I'm no longer that "athletic build" I once was. However, finding someone who'd like to get back in shape together might be fun.... I do not like to work out perse` but I'm beginning to do so again. I enjoy being at home, sometimes. It's where I unwind, to just hang out and chill, watch the boys play and grow, sit by the fireplace and watch the snow fall.Big NO-NO's:You cannot smoke, not even a little. Sorry, it's something I detest.Someone who is chronically lateThose who lie (including a lie by omission)People who are just down right meanThose who "cuss like a sailor" (I especially hate the "f" bomb) I love taking drives, especially long ones, with the top down of course, :) in my Little Blue VW .... So, out to dinner, some drive to a beach, or down by the river, and sit and talk would be fine, maybe a picnic lunch... I'd like the ability to talk and get to know each other.!!
