I am a recovering workaholic, but am trying to slow down and enjoy life a little more. I'm an average guy, laid back for the most part. I don't have many hobbies at this point in my life, so getting out and meeting people and experiencing more is my goal. I have two girls 14 and 18, I also have step-daughter 19 that I helped raise for 17 years and is very much a part of my life. As you can see my personal life started early so I've had to work hard to get where I am today, and I take my work and home life very serious. I have got back into the gym and work out a few times a week. I consider myself a little over weight and I contribute that to good cooking. I love to have a home cooked meal but I can't cook to save my life. I do enjoy getting out of the house but not always to just go and spend a bundle of money. I've been to a few nascar races and a few football games, but would like to do more with the right person. Ladies please post recent pics of yourself as well, Its not very fair to post 10yr old pictures..just sayin... I like to limit the first date to two hours max.. This eliminates any expectations and is plenty of time to find out if we are compatible... Maybe just a simple cup of coffee or a lunch date to see if there's any real interest or chemistry......

I've been told I'm quite the dichotomy. I'm the responsible dad and dedicated military officer, yet I still listen to hip hop and snowboard like I'm eighteen. I'm pretty easy to get to know and have a great sense of humor and I really care about family. On that note, I have two little girls that are the bestest ever! Well they are not so little anymore, 11 and 14, but are still my babies :) I spend a lot of time at the mall and hosting sleepovers with little girls everywhere! I wouldn't change it for the world, even if I do hate shopping more than a sharp stick in the eye...I don't have a perfect life. I have a dog with a drinking problem (can you say bulimia?), a kid with an addiction to Bath and Body Works and a cat that enjoys eskimo kisses at 3 AM (evil, cats are evil). Me, I can't stop trying new things. Over the last year it's been guitar, ATVs, motorcycles, Brazillian Jiu Jitsu and fishing. Next year, who knows? I have such 1st world problems haha!!I enjoy the company of good friends over a pint at the pub on the weekends and I love to debate the issues of the day (and some that aren't of the day). I'm in full swing with my Masters (ugh) so I'll be a busy fella until the end of the year when I graduate (yessssss), but I'll have time to develop a relationship with someone who's HONEST above all else and is willing to keep things at a moderate pace. I attract the crazies that want to marry after one month...So hey, that's me! I'm just a regular dude with a slightly irregular height. I would love to meet you! Ooh, the dreaded first date! I think there's nothing better than grabbing a drink or two, letting go of your inhibitions so we both can really get to know each other. Sloppy drunk is best. Nah, just kidding, coffee and dessert is a good start, maybe catch some live music.

Finding the right person is often a time-consuming process that takes a lot of patience. Much like fishing, we find ourselves waiting and catching many fish and more often than not, never finding that one special fish that makes us happy. I know how to treat a women and believe that chivalry, much like blue jeans, will never go out of style. I believe that if I can make you laugh or smile, that I have accomplished my mission. When people ask me for advice, I often tell them that making up their own mind is the only real freedom that any of us have and to use that freedom to decide for themselves. Although, I will make the occasional recommendation to never turn away a good thing when the opportunity arises. I like to call it like I see it and I am very honest. I also like surprises to break up the monotony. Whatever is clever, right? I enjoy social activities where we can have fun with friends as well as spending time with each other in order to learn more about ourselves as life goes on.
