I am a recovering workaholic, but am trying to slow down and enjoy life a little more. I'm an average guy, laid back for the most part. I don't have many hobbies at this point in my life, so getting out and meeting people and experiencing more is my goal. I have two girls 14 and 18, I also have step-daughter 19 that I helped raise for 17 years and is very much a part of my life. As you can see my personal life started early so I've had to work hard to get where I am today, and I take my work and home life very serious. I have got back into the gym and work out a few times a week. I consider myself a little over weight and I contribute that to good cooking. I love to have a home cooked meal but I can't cook to save my life. I do enjoy getting out of the house but not always to just go and spend a bundle of money. I've been to a few nascar races and a few football games, but would like to do more with the right person. Ladies please post recent pics of yourself as well, Its not very fair to post 10yr old pictures..just sayin... I like to limit the first date to two hours max.. This eliminates any expectations and is plenty of time to find out if we are compatible... Maybe just a simple cup of coffee or a lunch date to see if there's any real interest or chemistry......

Finding the right person is often a time-consuming process that takes a lot of patience. Much like fishing, we find ourselves waiting and catching many fish and more often than not, never finding that one special fish that makes us happy. I would like to find someone that makes me as happy as I make her. I enjoy the finer things in life; great food, fine wine, skiing, classic muscle cars, concerts, good books and better company. I'm an intelligent, loyal, fun, kind, reliable, patient, thoughtful, considerate and understanding man who can walk the walk; so enough with the flattering adjectives. I enjoy sports and working out at the gym as that makes me feel better both physically and emotionally. When I used to live closer to the mountains, I enjoyed skiing for many years but now find myself enjoying the sea-level sports. I like almost all types of music ranging from classical to classic rock. I learn as much as I can from everyone around me and sometimes adopt the personality traits of someone that I spend time with. I know how to treat a women and believe that chivalry, much like blue jeans, will never go out of style. I believe that if I can make you laugh or smile, that I have accomplished my mission. When people ask me for advice, I often tell them that making up their own mind is the only real freedom that any of us have and to use that freedom to decide for themselves. Although, I will make the occasional recommendation to never turn away a good thing when the opportunity arises. I like to call it like I see it and I am very honest. I also like surprises to break up the monotony. Whatever is clever, right? I enjoy social activities where we can have fun with friends as well as spending time with each other in order to learn more about ourselves as life goes on.
