I've tried this once before and it was fun... so - I'm fishing again... never know what is out there until you take a dive. I love to hike and be outdoors. I do not have any pets but love animals and would love to own a dog or three. I have decided, after long dreading the term 'Bucket List' that i have one... and here it is:I would like to Tandem (Just done that!), Zip Line and possibly find a man who still wears a watch, preferably one that is not digital and a man that is genuine.I like to listen to music: most types from rock to county... On a first date i might like to walk around a park, enjoy a nice cup of coffee, tea or soda or share some appetizers and laughs and not just send a text back and forth.

Seems one out of three guys are looking for a "partner in crime." (I guess the other guys commit their crimes on their own.) If partner in crime suggests a woman who indulges occasional calculated risks for the fun of it, sure, I fit the bill. About me - the string of adjectives approach: confident, upbeat, sporty, active, adventurous, direct, mischievous, extroverted, honest (including internet dating), loyal, intelligent, well-read, passionate, compassionate, sensual, witty, funny - if you like my brand, and sociable.My flaws (a couple!) are that I tend to be late and, like many New Yorkers, I try to do too many things. I am trying not to become too sarcastic, but you should still expect a heavy dose of irony. Trying to become less reactive to that passive-aggressive person on the subway.I am good at clever humor in conversation, but I'm lousy at telling a joke. Sometimes I'm laughing so hard in the telling, I can't get the joke out. This requires in the listener some patience and complete disregard of the truism that humor is about timing. It helps that laughing is contagious.I'm looking to date guys who have the potential for a long-term relationship. I do not have kids, and don't necessarily want them. I am open to adoption, however, as well as dating guys who have kids. I value people who have integrity and care about the state of the world, but who have not lost their sense of humor and playfulness. I am self-aware and reflective, but I try not to get too caught up on the relentless self-improvement trip compelled by contemporary culture. I try not to forget my humanity or that of others, and try to remember our imperfections and flaws can lead to insights, delightful quirks, spiritual growth, compassion, and some damn funny cartoons.I am active and fit, neither slim nor fat. (Oh, yeah, I love dance music, even with terrible lyrics (are there any other kind!))I love the ocean, in any weather, even winter. Fire Island is heaven on earth. I own a fishing rod, a surf caster. I can tell a blue fish from a striped bass, a fluke from a flounder, not just on my plate. I can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan. Just not at the same time. And, oh yeah, sometimes I try to be vegetarian. Wait, where was I going with this . . .I have a spiritual path, but not much of a practice. I aspire to meditate regularly.I enjoy physical activity and much prefer playing sports to being a spectator. But I really enjoy watching tennis - all the grand slam events - and the occasional basebaIl game with a hot dog and beer. I tune in during the basketball playoffs. But if following sports teams (or internet video games/gaming) consumes most of your free time and emotional energy, I'm not interested. I love ballroom dancing, especially because it takes me out of my head and puts me in the present moment in the way that only the intense concentration required to move many different parts of your body, at the same time, through space, to the beat of the music, without looking ridiculous, can do. I don't need you to take dance lessons, although that would be great, but I hope you would be supportive of my dancing with other partners. I am pretty good at tennis. I occasionally jog, cycle, and roller blade. I wish I could kayak and hike more often.- fantastic.)I tend to be attracted to men who are smart (and, usually, well-educated, although one can be the former, but not the latter); physically active (but not the motorized kind); socially/politically aware and engaged; courteous; enjoy flirting; well-mannered; who may not be stylish or metro-sexual, but pay some attention to appearance; and confident. Not looking for someone to complete me, but having someone to do things with would be nice. If things evolve from there, great; if not, well so be it! We all have past relationships but lets try and check them at the door. I'm equally happy spending the weekend hiking, biking, reading a book on the couch or NYT while having brunch. During the week, well, got to support this fabulous NYC lifestile somehow so work!
