I grew up in a small-ish town in the 80's and did all the small town things there were to do. That means knowing what is going on in the world and wanting to make the world a better place, even if a small way. I believe you don't have to have a degree to be smart. I have one, but only because I decided to become a teacher and the state requires it. I worked for a long time without a degree and was very successful. I also know people who are "degreed" and who can't think there way out of a box.I'm looking for a great man, who has some things in common with me, is intelligent and successful and wants to get to know someone gradually and respectfully. Someone to have great conversations with, smile and laugh and occassionally have a good-spirited debate. Someone to be goofy with me, show me new things, try new things and enjoy the beauty of life. For a first date, I would prefer to do an activity like bowling or playing pool or darts which I think is more fun & gets you past the awkward conversation moments. So here goes, it's been close to four years since I was on this site and thought I would check it out again. Let me say up front that if your main goal is to hook up, I'm not interested and if you want to start talking sexual innuendos in the first couple of messages, again not interested ( and by the way, any grown man that speaks that way to a woman they don't even know should be ashamed of themselves!).I have a good job, great friends and family and my child is almost 18 so my time is mostly my own with few restrictions.
