I am a fair-weather, solar powered kind of girl. I am happiest on the coast somewhere with my toes in the sand, soaking up the rays, listening to the water caress the shore. I currently work in the medical field and recently finished the RN program; for a long time this took up most of my time. Now that I have my license I can breathe a bit easier and also have time to pursue other interests.I was lucky enough to be able to be a stay at home mom for 20 years and then decided to go to Nursing school. Well I guess I can start off by saying that I am passionate about so many things but particularly family and friendships and MUSIC. I enjoy and am thankful for so much in life but I especially love music (did I mention that already?) singing/playing/listening, children, animals, SEAHAWKS, MMA, BBQs, cooking, anything on a lake (especially swimming), movies, camping, reading, gardening, playing raquetball, dancing. I have a 13 y/o son at home that is one of the centers of my universe... I am glad to be back in Winnipeg ***yrs now) and am thrilled to have attended my first Fringe festival in years! I think we should try to continue learning throughout our lives. I value intelligence, wit and integrity. I think all people should practice random acts of kindness and live like Karma exists.Oh and by the way, while my profile says a few extra pounds... I am a very muscular build, and am finally finding the time to be back in the gym. I am being honest with that heading ... it is my goal in the months to come to change it to athletic . As an athlete I was very muscular and very lean... Now I am softer and curvier but fitter than the average woman. I choose not to put average, as the average woman has little muscle tone, in my observation. I know that heading will turn some off, but just being honest. I have found several who put "a few extra pounds" on here and honestly appear much larger. sorry if that comes off as a rant... and I know that only those who got past that point will get to read this... maybe a walk to a great little place for a tea or great coffee? Maybe a walk to look at some of the great murals of winnipeg. lets get a slurpee! (boy does that shout winnipeg raised or what?)
