About Me

I stay active - Finding or creating something every weekend...(not so much during the week-well, I can be persuaded...:). I am a bit of a planner, some things have to be planned months in advance - to make sure you get the right spot, right price..and all your friends know when to "plan" on it :) Camping, boating, wine tasting, traveling and exploring in the summer..happy hours, hiking, skiing, dancing, etc in the winter. Whatever I can stir up and have fun with friends doing. ( a little bit of an adrenaline junkie..if I can find things that do that..love trying new things and going places I haven't been/seen before). Have had several long relationships..and have lots of friends..no, never married. (please dont read into that too much) Have a great a great job, car/truck, and house (ever been in a spool ?...) have ***lb ish dogs (no kids - but my dogs are not my kids..they have a doggie door and know how to feed themselves, so they dont limit what and when I can do things - love em though). I would like to find someone do things with other than friends..with friends sometimes..but not always. ..and if that leads to something more serious - great...I am looking for a best friend, that I am attracted to and respect, and just cant get enough of.. partner in crime, with benefits! Picked a sea horse, well because I have a tattoo of one -in a scuba dive flag..on my ankle. Music - roger clyne, jimmy buffett, reggae, acdc, nickelback..- please be geographically desirable :) I have heard of so many horror stories where people chat and ***/weeks..and get excited about things..and then the first meeting (if it ever gets around to that). They don't show..or when they do they look nothing like their picture..say they are 5'11 ..and aren't (I am 5'10)..or they say they are outdoorsy and just aren't (anymore). I would really just like to meet and have a drink and see if there is chemistry..most people know it right away..(don't they?) And despite many of my male friends telling me that every girl on this site is just looking for someone to buy dinner..or pay thier bills, or sex...none of the above for me - just figured I might meet someone that I wouldn't have met otherwise and we will see where it goes from there...

Woman. 50 years old. Zodiac sign: Aries.

Looking for: man. In age: 47-57

I am a self sufficient professional woman that is independant, enjoys spending time with friends and family. I love to laugh and enjoy life. I am a country girl at heart that works in the city.I love experiencing new cities and restuarants. I am looking for someone to spend time with, get to know and hopefully develop a long lasting relationship. First dates are about introduction so meeting for coffee or drinks to decide if there is any chemistry is a must. I believe you usually know by the first meeting by talking to a person whether there will be an actual first date or not..

I love to go hiking with my dog and being outdoors any chance I get but I also love rainy days on the couch or at the movies. What's in my CD player? I love to travel and road trip, but it's been within the states for the past few years since I had my daughter. Life can be so serious, so I love to laugh. But the best part of my day is always the time I have with my 10 year old. I would love to find a gentleman with a good heart and soul who can share in the simpler things in life. I'm a jeans and Keens kind of girl who looks good in heels and would love a guy who appreciates that dichotomy.Looking ahead my goal is to get my Masters in Social Work and catch up on my reading! The perfect first date would be very casual and low-key. Meeting at a coffee house would be ideal. As for a 2nd date? Let's find out!

We're a good match because... We know that we have been blessed and are grateful. We know we have a good life. We do a job that we're proud of. We hold hands. We volunteer in the community. We honor our military and are patriots. We enjoy being the other half of a couple, with all the social activities that entails: dancing, cuddling at the movies, having mutual friends over for a meal, to play cards, or to meet us at a local football or hockey game. We live within a 30 minute drive of each other, and are open to the idea of living together in the future. We take random evening drives, or just have a spontaneous weekend away somewhere romantic. We surround ourselves with spiritual, positive, hardworking, honest people. We're open to exploring the world together! You're good for me because... In addition to things listed in the first paragraph, I'm a sucker for your hard biceps, your great smile and the fact that you think the glass is half full, not half empty. You're serious, but then will say or do something goofy that makes me laugh. You're passionate and compassionate. You're a romantic man--a man who treats me like a lady in public. You're a ";; someone who's confident, who's comfortable in his skin and knows he's attractive, but isn't arrogant or narcissistic. You're understanding, patient and encouraging, as I continue my journey to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle. You're a man who misses me when we're away from each other and leaves me sexy voicemail at my office, while I'm in meetings. You're a man who says romantic things to me on the phone while he's in the checkout line, and doesn't care who hears him. I'm good for you because... In addition to things listed in the first paragraph, I'm someone to go on a long-term romantic adventure with. I'm someone with passion, laughter and two little rescue dogs. I live in a drama-free zone and am pretty mellow. I'm someone who will be beside you through thick and thin. I don't like confrontation or arguments. I'm a very feminine and traditional woman in a lot of ways, but one who is also adventurous and curious about life. I'm someone who has a corporate career, yet is also a designer and writer. I'm a woman who is shy around strangers, but confident, once she knows someone. I'm a woman who, even though she can't have children of her own, loves children and has 7 godchildren scattered around the country. I'm a woman who enjoys any type of music, except heavy metal or rap. And, I'm a woman who is candid and honest, but not rude or sarcastic.PS - I'm flattered, but sorry guys, I'm NOT sexually attracted to black men. It's more of a stroll than a walk though--my Dachshund is 10 and we go at her pace. LoL The point is, we're still getting to know each other, so we need to be comfortable. This could also be a coffee somewhere, putt-putt golf, or a game of Scrabble! The conversation and the laughter are so much more important than the location and how much money we spend. The strongest foundation for a relationship is to be friends first. That first handshake and hug are crucial. They will determine if there's a spark that indicates this will be a deeper relationship, or if we're going to just be friends. If either of us don't feel that connection, it's completely okay to say, "I'm just not feeling that spark with you". No harm done. It's not something that can be determined online, or over the phone. When you meet, you'll know. Thanks for reading my profile and have a wonderful day!Irish
