I'm searching for what I feel many people are; someone to laugh with, have fun with and simply connect with. I can be funny and I can also be serious. I love to talk about ideas, books, issues of the day; and if I can learn something new, that's always a bonus! Any day spent outdoors is a good one; talking a run, a hike or visiting a new area and just walking around and grabbing a bite are some things I like to do. I am not looking for someone to fill all my waking hours or be a carbon copy of me - I'm happy to spend time alone or with my friends and family. Why two people click is always a mystery - but when you feel that elusive feeling, there's nothing like it! The ideal first date is when the conversation is easy, the laughter flows and you just know you want to see that person again. Coffee, dinner, a glass of wine; it's all a good time when the company's great!

As the song goes, "Life's a dance, you learn as you go". It truly is. Sometimes it's a jive with upbeat music and other times it's more of a slow waltz. Very occasionally it's kind of painful, but one gets over that. I enjoy being a part of a small, a cappella ensemble. Rehearsals are a blast and performances are just as interesting. Family and friends play a key role in my life. I try to spend as much time with my niece and nephew as their growing up will allow. Seeing the world through the eyes of a child is always refreshing, many times enlightening, and often hilarious.I'm city born but I love the country life. There is nothing quite like turning one's face to the sun and feeling the wind in one's hair and the only sounds are those of the wind rustling the grasses and the birds chirping. I also enjoy living and working in a small town where a quick foray into the "wilds" is just moments away.I am a Christian and am more spiritual than religious. I do not live my life by a list of rules but more from principles.I can be intense and passionate about many things. Time and the dance have tempered and strengthened these things to help me be the warm, caring person I am. Hmmm....kind of open. It wouldn't need to be anything fancy. A cup of coffee in a place where we can chat would be nice.
