A casual meeting for the first time could be something simple. Meet for a drink, coffee one night after work on on a weekend. A place where it is easy to talk or a low key fun event. Laughter always makes for a good first meeting. My thought is simple. Keep an open mind. Worse case scenario you hopefully met someone nice.
