About Me

Hello,I have 2 kids... one is 17 and pretty much does her own thing, and I have a 12 yo son who still enjoys hanging out with mom every once in a while. I like going local and state parks, hiking the trails, fishing, and doing volunteer work.I've been a runner for over 30 years, I weight train, and I like to geocache, ...which is part exploring in nature and part techy ....I also play a couple of *** try to eat healthy and as organic as possible. Being healthy is important to me. Trying to withstand the effects of aging for as long as possible. It seems that every time I run into someone from high school, they always recognize me...and I never recognize them. So maybe it's because I haven't grown older looking since then, or it's because I never grew up, lol.I tend to be pretty opinionated on certain issues that are important to me, but am more than willing to listen to other viewpoints. I consider myself a person who sticks up for others almost to a fault. I guess the hardest part of dating for me is that I'm an extremely nice and honest person. I keep expecting and I know there's got to be a man out there that is just as honest and nice as I am...that is kind to others, optimistic and fun. I don't treat people who are currently in my life based on how I've been treated in the past. It seems that there are too many people out there that are extremely guarded by what they have experienced. For me, every day is a fresh start. I am very "low maintenance" and down to earth type of woman. I'm not into shopping in stores or buying tons of clothes...there are better ways I like to spend money. I'm financially prudent and stable...not looking for some guy to support me. But, I also don't need a financial leech as well...that's what my kids are for, lol. I have a great sense of humor and use it to help in difficult times by making light of just about any situation. I would like to meet guys who are active, have a great sense of humor, are honest, enjoy life, and are optimistic. Finally, I am looking for someone to have a relationship with. I am not looking for a FWB or a one night stand...so, if that is your intention, please move on. Don't waste my time or yours.     Hello, UPDATED ***I enjoy camping, hiking, biking, swimming, pontoon boating, fishing and almost anything on the water. I like to be the passenger on the motorcycle and I have been told I am a good passenger. I like to sit by a good bonfire and just watch it, talk and cuddle. I enjoy movies and quiet times. I am the mom of 4 young adults all in their 20's. Two are married and have steady jobs in engineering or military. The younger two are twins and one is working and going to college for dental assistant. The other is working two jobs and just moved into her first place. She does not want to spend money on college until she knows what she wants. I have two large dogs and my daughters cat in the house. I work full time in health care and have been in nursing since ***. Since the children are grown, I am getting back to my hobbies. I like to embroider, knit and I am learning to sew again. I am learning to garden, but I find I prefer the big projects with landscaping. I like to wile a day away sometimes with thrift store shopping or garage sales. Sometimes I buy for me, sometimes for someone else. I am trying to develop an eye for "what it could be" when I look at used items. How can I re-purpose them. I enjoy the symphony or Orchestra and theater. I have completed 2 plays with our community theater. It was a wonderful challenge and so much fun. Simple lunch or dinner followed by hiking, fishing, biking. Campfire in the evening.
