Hello,I have 2 kids... one is 17 and pretty much does her own thing, and I have a 12 yo son who still enjoys hanging out with mom every once in a while. I like going local and state parks, hiking the trails, fishing, and doing volunteer work.I've been a runner for over 30 years, I weight train, and I like to geocache, ...which is part exploring in nature and part techy ....I also play a couple of *** try to eat healthy and as organic as possible. Being healthy is important to me. Trying to withstand the effects of aging for as long as possible. It seems that every time I run into someone from high school, they always recognize me...and I never recognize them. So maybe it's because I haven't grown older looking since then, or it's because I never grew up, lol.I tend to be pretty opinionated on certain issues that are important to me, but am more than willing to listen to other viewpoints. I consider myself a person who sticks up for others almost to a fault. I guess the hardest part of dating for me is that I'm an extremely nice and honest person. I keep expecting and I know there's got to be a man out there that is just as honest and nice as I am...that is kind to others, optimistic and fun. I don't treat people who are currently in my life based on how I've been treated in the past. It seems that there are too many people out there that are extremely guarded by what they have experienced. For me, every day is a fresh start. I am very "low maintenance" and down to earth type of woman. I'm not into shopping in stores or buying tons of clothes...there are better ways I like to spend money. I'm financially prudent and stable...not looking for some guy to support me. But, I also don't need a financial leech as well...that's what my kids are for, lol. I have a great sense of humor and use it to help in difficult times by making light of just about any situation. I would like to meet guys who are active, have a great sense of humor, are honest, enjoy life, and are optimistic. Finally, I am looking for someone to have a relationship with. I am not looking for a FWB or a one night stand...so, if that is your intention, please move on. Don't waste my time or yours.     I am on this site because I thought it would be a good way to meet new people, make some new friends, and possibly/hopefully meet the guy that will be the Tommy to my Gina. (don't know what that means? just ask :-)I've put quite a bit of time into being a caregiver and am ready for someone to pull me back into the mainstream.     Ok, so not sure what to put here.. But here goes.. I'm loyal, faithful and honest to a fault. Im far to old to play games. I'm not comfortable discussing sex with someone I dont really know yet. I'm sorry if this offends you, but i find it extremely disconcerting that alot of the guys I meet here, think its ok to jump right onto the sex topic after only a conversation or two. I need to take this slow. I'm an open and honest woman, i like sex as much if not more than most. However I dont want to be used. I want you to take the time to get to know me and I you before we become intimate. If this isnt what you want, i understand. I insist on being treated with respect. I'm not a pick-up in a bar who's too drunk to care about whats said to them. I'd love a little romance and surprise in my life
