I’d like to meet an intellectually stimulating gentleman who’s honest, has good communication skills and possess a good sense of humor. An appreciation of the arts, good food, wine, travel, exercise and scuba diving is also desirable. (willing to work on the scuba part, and not a deal breaker)I’m an independent self career woman, (worked my way through college) with liberal views. I enjoy cooking, throwing dinner parties and bringing friends together. I've belonged to the same gourmet club for 19 years. To balance out the eating I work out regularly, but am not a work out fanatic. I run, lift weights and do yoga, and recently signed up with a personal trainer. Eating healthy and exercise are important to my lifestyle.I also love to travel and explore new places. I’m always looking for the next scuba adventure, Wakatobi, Maldives and Australia are on my short list. I’ I’d love to tackle Asia and the Middle East as well. My ultimate goal is to retire on the beach some where warm. I recently bought a piece of beach front property and am 1 step closer to making that happen. I'd like to split my time between the beach and the US.I attend theater and concerts on a fairly regular basis, love to dance and appreciate a variety of different types of music from classical to CeLo, although not a huge opera fan. I embrace technology but am not a geek, still using my 4G iPhone and will probably never own a reading device. There is just something about the smell of a real book, and how would you know where the good parts are without the dog eared pages? If you are looking for that special woman who can climb a mountain and then put on a ball gown all in the same day, (I’ve actually read this on dating sites before) I’m definitely not your gal. Women don’t actually carry ball gowns in their backpack. However, I do clean up pretty good, am easy going and believe what you put out in the universe is what you get back. I'm also really good with kids if you happen to have any of them. I prefer to skip the interogation/interview on first date and prefer for a natural dialog about one's self. I don't drink coffee so I prefer getting to know one another over a glass of wine or a bite to eat. The summer opens up more possibilities, a walk around one of the lakes is always nice.
