I am a hardworking, self-sufficient woman. I was a single mother for years. I could not figure out how to date and be a good parent simultaneously. So, decided to focus on being a mom first...especially since I only had one shot at being a parent. I always figured I would have time for myself later. Well, suddenly I find that time has come! The one problem...I have been out of the dating scene for so long, I'm not sure how to go about dating now! Things have changed in the past 10 years and I have gotten older. That said, I'm not getting any younger or hotter! LOL! So, if you are not looking for a relationship, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY WITHIN! Marriage is not a necessity...but I would not rule it out completely. Maybe one day I'd be willing to go there again. But really I'm just looking for a partner in crime. Someone to have fun with and go on adventures with. There are no set requirements for first date. Meeting for a drink or to have coffee is fine. A long walk (accompanied by my dog of course) at a park or cemetery (and no I don't mean a dark, scarey, weird place). Dinners seem to me a bit too much for a first date. If the chemistry is not there, it can make for a long, uncomfortable meal! Same with movies, and movies do not afford the ability to talk and get to know one another.

Its terrible that I have to do this but it is necessary!! IF YOU ARE JUST LOOKING FOR A BOOTY CALL OR A HOOK-UP, THEN DON'T BOTHER MESSAGING ME!!!! I AM NOT ABOUT THAT!!!! I never thought this would be so hard. Things have certainly changed since the last time I was single. Thinking about calling it quits and just settling with being single!! Hoping that you will look beyond the physical and try to get to know me I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I work 3pm-11:30pm shift and rotating weekends, so that doesn't leave much time for fun! Like to spend time with family and friends, bar b ques in the warmer months bonfires in the fall and holidays together or sometimes just have some quiet time with that special someone. Preferably tall, 5'10"+ (not a deal breaker), non smoker (not a deal breaker), good teeth and that knows how to treat a lady. An old fashioned type or the sweet southern gentleman. But you never know really what is perfect for you until you meet and the sparks start to fly!! Those are just some of the characteristics that I know usually get my attention! My ideal first date would be somewhere quiet so we can talk and get to know one another. In other words no clubs, movies, concerts or even sporting events for a first date. Its hard to get to know each other if you can't even hear each other!!! Just somewhere to see if we feel a connection!!

I love the water and walk along the bay a few times a week. I also go to the Caribbean at least once a year! So if you don't find me on the beach, playing tennis, trying new recipes then I may be curled up on the couch with my dog reading some sort of cookbook or playing on the computer. I am also just now (as of April ***trying to YOLO board! So far I have gone out a few times and loved it!Looking for a funny, honest male that also enjoys traveling and trying new things. Meeting for coffee has been done to death, and quite frankly, is boring as hell(I actually just hate coffee!). I like meeting for a happy hour, which can lead right to a dinner if things are going well. If things are not as they seem, well atleast beer will help me tolerate what was not advertised correctly. (J/K..or am I..come on we have all been there!?)PS..if you have to smoke around me, we are not a good match....also believe it or not, even with the above listed here I still get asked out for coffee dates!...or if this is a looks only game? LOL
