I've read some great profiles on here and I'm stealing the format of a good one. ME... I am very happy and content in my current life. I am blessed with 2 beautiful daughters, both happily married to great guys. This year they gave me the greatest gifts... a beautiful granddaughter and a handsome grandson. I know... I look waaaay too young to be a grandma...lol. I have a beautiful home that I share with my furry best friend. It used to be 2, but I recently lost one : (. I am so blessed to have a huge circle of friends, both male and female, that have and continue to be there for me in so many ways. I have a great job that I love but believe it's important to balance that with a very active social life. I love to travel and a good winter for me, includes 2 sunny destination getaways. Although I don't own a cottage, I'm very lucky to have so many friends with cottages and their invites allow me to enjoy many cottage getaways throughout the year. I maintain a healthy, active lifestyle and try eat healthy most of the time, although I admit that chocolate and red wine are a weakness. Really the only thing missing in my life is a great man to share it with. I once had an amazing, happy, wonderful marriage and I believe that if I can find the right man, I can once again, have it all.YOU... While I believe that it important that we have our own interests, I also believe that we must have similar values and priorities in life. You, like me, are content with your current life, because despite life's tough lessons you have chosen to make life good. It is a choice. You have your own group of friends (the real kind that are there for both good and bad times and come running when needed in those bad times, cause I believe that says so much about the person you are). You are financially secure and travel often, or would like to travel more, if only you had an awesome travel companion. : ) You work at being healthy, exercising and eating well, or wish you did and are willing to work towards it. Oh... and you MUST love dogs, cause I do live with my furry (non-shedding, hypoallergenic) best friend. You value honesty and believe it's easier to be yourself than try to be someone else to win affection. Although a long term relationship is your final goal, you are willing to take things slowly, starting off as friends, enjoying the "getting to know you" phase and allowing our relationship to grow into something that can stand the test of time. US.... we send a few *** both agree to meet sooner rather than later, because we believe that this is just a place to connect with other singles and what we are really hoping to find is that elusive and unexplainable chemistry. We meet for a drink because it helps us both to relax a little and we find our chemistry is amazing. The conversation is effortless and the laughter comes easy. I was totally against a dating site of any sort. One day my daughter took charge without my knowledge and signed me on...so here I am. Just updating my profile to my likings:) I'm n the process of a pretty much cut and dry divorce. Together for 31yrs.and had absolutely nothing n common. Stayed n for as long as I did because of children and wanting to Keep the family intact. My children are now young adults. Now It's mommy's time:) I would love to find that special someone,fall n love and eventually get married again. I'll preface my profile by stating despite the look in some pics, I am NOT high maintenance. In younger years, I've done a bit of modeling. (mostly eyes) That said:There is a big chunk of my life left waiting to be played out with you. I'm young at heart with lots to offer. The question is "Does a combo package of attractiveness and INTELLIGENCE appeal to you?" I am an interesting mix of fun, brains, and just enough glitz to make things exciting. I am willing to try new things, but you'll never convince me that bowling (I once bowled a 3) or the opera (I fell asleep) are enjoyable. I could also use some serious coaching in tennis and baseball. "Camping" you say? Tried it once, but my idea of "camping out" is more like sitting in my car in a parking lot (coffee in hand) waiting for the mall to open. Although I have a science background, most people place me in the arts.( It's the fashion factor.) Family and friends are a vital part of my life, but I am also very comfortable spending the day with just myself. I am confident enough to give you your space and not be all-consuming or needy. I am curvaceous and some say I have the body of a 25 year old. (The mind is another issue.) I have sex appeal, (not to be confused with promiscuity.) The biggest thing on me is my heart. It's been broken and mended a few times and there's room in it for you. I love to play dress-up for my man. (I don't go anywhere without my high heels!) I can also be as casual as the rest of them.On weekends, it's no makeup and overalls.You might find me doing house repairs, at the gym or at bootcamp (tough, but no crying aloud), gardening, bargain shopping, listening to music (oldies freak) or cooking. Italian meals are my specialty. I am of Italian heritage. Dad was a chef and I learned from the best! I also spend time working with special needs (mainly autistic) children.My perfect mate is attractive,well groomed and physically fit.Teeth and hair (adorning the head) are a plus. It is so incredibly easy to become jaded on a dating site; So many broken promises and people who lack sincerity.
