After a brief hiatus, I'm giving this another try. I'm ultimately looking for a meaningful and strong relationship. That doesn't necessarily mean I'll rush things though. I know what I want.I'm a Marine and I hate being judged negatively for it. While I completely understand why Marines tend to have the reputation that they do, we're not all like that. I myself generally don't even like most typical Marines. I've been in for 5 years and am on my second enlistment; I'm not some overly motivated boot. That said, I do have pride in what I do. But it doesn't solely define me. Another thing that bothers me is when people assume that just because someone doesn't have a college degree that they're not intelligent. I'm a very curious person who thoroughly enjoys learning. I also am trying to do something with my life. That means the Marines right now and who knows in the future. I have had a solid career so far and I mean to continue it. I'm definitely a fan of having four actual seasons. Though the south has grown on me. Family is very important to me no matter how much we fight or how much distance is between us. I like to think of myself as a nice, easy going guy. I try to find humor in every situation. I can be sarcastic and goofy but I know when to be serious. I'm not religious but I'm understanding of other people's beliefs. I still have my morals. I hate drama and dishonesty. I'm very passionate and affectionate and those things are very important to me in a partner as well. I'm confident in myself and won't waste my time playing games. I know who I am.When in a relationship, my significant other is my best friend. I enjoy spending the majority of my time with her. That doesn't make me dependent (I still need time for my friends and myself). I just know what I like. I love the outdoors and being active. Some activities I enjoy include hiking, camping, snowboarding, swimming, kayaking, and being at the beach. I also enjoy going out and exploring new restaurants and bars. I love listening to live, local music. But I love staying in, relaxing to a movie or a good TV show as well. More often than not I prefer cuddling up with someone special over partying with friends. I enjoy playing the guitar. I wish I played it as much as I used to. It's a skill that I taught myself, something I'm proud of. I'm obsessed with hockey. I try to play ice hockey at least once a week; nothing relaxes me more.Things I'm attracted to: confidence, intelligence (a little ditziness can be cute, too much is obnoxious), being able to hold a conversation, a sense of humor, aggressiveness (I have no problem taking charge and being the man, in fact I enjoy it. But it's attractive when a girl isn't afraid to make a move), a girl who not only can cook but enjoys doing it for someone special. Passion and affection are big with me.I'm not shallow but physical attraction is important. However it's not enough by itself. Personality is what will keep me around. A girl who isn't afraid to get aggresive and go for what they want is very attractive. I don't think I'm that picky. I just know what I want and deserve.Do not message me if: - you're too full of yourself (confidence is attractive, but too many girls on here seem to think they're gods gift to the world just because they get tons of messages from douche bags)- you aren't physically fit (you don't have to be a fitness model but I keep myself in good shape)I put time and effort into this so I wouldn't waste someone else's time nor my own. Something fun and relaxing where we can talk and get to know each other. I enjoy dinner and a movie but that's better suited for once you know each other well.
