After a brief hiatus, I'm giving this another try. I'm ultimately looking for a meaningful and strong relationship. That doesn't necessarily mean I'll rush things though. I have no problem taking it slow and casual. If it doesn't amount to anything more, then so be it. But if things were going well and moved quickly, well I wouldn't complain. I know what I want.I'm a Marine and I hate being judged negatively for it. While I completely understand why Marines tend to have the reputation that they do, we're not all like that. I myself generally don't even like most typical Marines. I've been in for 5 years and am on my second enlistment; I'm not some overly motivated boot. That said, I do have pride in what I do. But it doesn't solely define me. Another thing that bothers me is when people assume that just because someone doesn't have a college degree that they're not intelligent. I'm a very curious person who thoroughly enjoys learning. I also am trying to do something with my life. That means the Marines right now and who knows in the future. I have had a solid career so far and I mean to continue it. I'm definitely a fan of having four actual seasons. Though the south has grown on me. Family is very important to me no matter how much we fight or how much distance is between us. I like to think of myself as a nice, easy going guy. I try to find humor in every situation. I can be sarcastic and goofy but I know when to be serious. I'm not religious but I'm understanding of other people's beliefs. I still have my morals. I hate drama and dishonesty. I'm very passionate and affectionate and those things are very important to me in a partner as well. I'm confident in myself and won't waste my time playing games. I know who I am.When in a relationship, my significant other is my best friend. I enjoy spending the majority of my time with her. That doesn't make me dependent (I still need time for my friends and myself). I just know what I like. I love the outdoors and being active. Some activities I enjoy include hiking, camping, snowboarding, swimming, kayaking, and being at the beach. I also enjoy going out and exploring new restaurants and bars. I love listening to live, local music. But I love staying in, relaxing to a movie or a good TV show as well. More often than not I prefer cuddling up with someone special over partying with friends. I enjoy playing the guitar. I wish I played it as much as I used to. It's a skill that I taught myself, something I'm proud of. I'm obsessed with hockey. I try to play ice hockey at least once a week; nothing relaxes me more.Things I'm attracted to: confidence, intelligence (a little ditziness can be cute, too much is obnoxious), being able to hold a conversation, a sense of humor, aggressiveness (I have no problem taking charge and being the man, in fact I enjoy it. But it's attractive when a girl isn't afraid to make a move), a girl who not only can cook but enjoys doing it for someone special. Passion and affection are big with me.I'm not shallow but physical attraction is important. However it's not enough by itself. Personality is what will keep me around. A girl who isn't afraid to get aggresive and go for what they want is very attractive. I don't think I'm that picky. There's a lot to me and not all of it needs to be known by everyone, so here's the info for the general masses, if you want to know more message me.I like to chill and have a good time with friends, party from time to time. I recieved my associates in Diesil Technology from the 5th best program in the U.S. as well as a second associates in Diesil Electrics/On site Power Generation, also I am also back in school for one final degree in Automotive Technology. I currently work as a Shelter Supervisor for a local homeless shelter. Cars are a big part of my life and some of my close family. I race Mieke (Me-Ka) my ***Volkswagen GTI in Street X events with the EISCCA. I love to learn and I'm always trying to expand my knowledge. I'm a big strong guy who likes to hit the gym from time to time. I like all music for the most part, I'm good with about any movie but prefer to be active when I can. My family has 2 acres of land upon which we have: pigs, chickens, goats, rabbits, ducks, LOTS of cats, 6 dogs (we breed Samoyeds)and behind our property the neighbors have cows and horses so you can find any farm animal you want. We also have been taking part in a local farmers market for I want to say 9 years now and we always have fresh food from our half acre garden. I started smoking the day I turned 18 but the habbit has been on and off. I like to think I'm a decent guy, definately not a typical jerk and I believe in chivalry (ie: opening doors and etc.) I'm easy to get along with, I don't put up with guys who mistreat women and have intervened with incedents before. I'm just looking for the right girl for me. Oh and I can cook a decent meal and do most "domestic" things myself, I'm not looking for someone to be a maid for me in the future but a partner in all undertakings.
