A little about me...personally, I think the words that best describe me are honest, serious, driven and passionate. So I guess I'm a little bit of all of those, although my friends probably know best. I think the most important thing is that I know who I am. I am mostly a "girly girl", but I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. I think the most important thing of all is that I am a very positive person and I love to laugh, even at myself (or maybe especially at myself). So I really appreciate somebody with a positive outlook and great sense of humor. And I also respect somebody that is down to earth and not pretentious. I am independent and I don’t need somebody to take care of me. But with that being said, I am somewhat old fashioned and a hopeless romantic so I still hope that chivalry is alive. What I enjoy doing…movies, dinner, concerts or a festival. And love wearing high heels. But I also love being in "comfy clothes" and curling up on the couch to watch a movie or just relaxing and listening to music. I pretty much love anything except for rap. And just a warning, I listen to music with almost everything I do and although I can't dance or sing well, I still do it. I love cooking and experimenting with different recipes and idea (and yes, I am a very good cook). I am proud to say that I can make sushi (actually norimaki) and enjoying teaching my friends how to make it. I eat very healthy most of the time, but I also love a big slice of pepperoni pizza or wings when the craving strikes. Also love the beach, of course. I am always up for trying something new and have made it a goal to travel more lately. It would fulfill my life even more to find somebody that I can share these times with. I also know that there has to be that chemistry and physical attraction and it is difficult to do online (messaging/texting), so let's meet and see where it goes from there. I'm passionate about hollandaise sauce and Ashtanga yoga, although sometimes I give up both. Our best days are when we sleep in, cook together or go out for brunch, and then build a bookcase or a coffee table. Or when I get up early to make breakfast burritos so we can hit the road and beat the crowds to Fenway (I'll be rooting for the Yankees, btw). Or when my ship comes in after six weeks at sea and you're on the dock to meet me. Our best nights are when we go to bed early because we can't keep our hands off each other. Or when we stay up late having drinks and great conversation with our fabulous friends who don't resent us for beating them so badly in Cranium.I'm looking for someone who enjoys playing on the edge but is mature enough that he won't cross over the line. Someone who knows that if we dance together around the fire, neither of us will get burned. I want to challenge and support each other, to relax with and excite each other. A partner in crime. A jack of all trades, perhaps. A Renaissance man? Someone who can read what I write and use more than just an adjustable wrench without cutting his fingers off. Someone who isn't afraid of hard work but who doesn't take himself seriously. Someone who knows himself and isn't afraid. Intellect, emotional maturity, and a physical connection are important. I think that sex and sexual compatibility are a large part of a relationship. Give me a good reason to stay home... Here's the thing: I don't do awkward.; a gala ball where I was publicly accused of being a communist by a music producer; a dinner with my date's parents; a three-day offshore sail with my co-workers; a walk to a clearing in the woods during the Leonid meteor showers;;; a beer at the dive bar down the street from my school. I don't want to be impressed--I want my date to feel comfortable, because only then can we truly get to know each other. And the guy I spent 7.5 years with? He took me to a dive bar for a beer after class.
