My kids' dad and I have a working relationship which I think says a lot because I put my kids first and the relationship that they have with him is important to me, that they have one. With that being said, I get to have some time to myself "every other weekend". When I'm not running my son to baseball or basketball practices or games you can find me running my daughter to cheer practices and football games! I love me some football! I've also learned to love baseball and have learned about the game thanks to all of the years my son has played it. I also enjoy shopping (what girl doesn't should probably get her head checked...), going out to have fun or just grab a bite to eat with friends, treating myself to a manicure/pedicure, or just a quiet night at home with a cold drink & being a homebody. When I can, I also like to go on weekend getaways to see out-of-), go to catch a movie, and spend time with my local friends and family. Dinner is always a safe bet or maybe even lunch on the weekend is a good place for a first date. Somewhere casual like Applebee's or Mexican food and now we're talking! (I love Mexican food......and no, I'm not talking about Taco Bell.) Make me laugh and make eye contact with me. I have to admit, I am a hopeless romantic. Maybe it's because I've watched one too many chic flicks or maybe it's because I know that my knight in shining armor is out there. Flowers never hurt. Afterwards, I would want to go somewhere else to transition into some fun. That might mean going to a casino to do some gaming or to go dancing, or maybe a little of both! Catching a new movie is always a good ice breaker, too, but get my input on what I might like to watch. It's always nice when someone asks if there's something I might want to go see that isn't a kids' cartoon or a scary movie which is what I usually go and see with my kiddos.
