Hello all,A bit about myself,I was married for 16yrs, divorced 12 or so years with some longer relationships during that time (2yrs or more).I'm very active and fit. My son and I go to the gym a few times per week. Lately he's been getting me into Crossfit..It's kicking my butt.When I'm not at work I repair/restore a couple of old cars I have or make repairs to my house (well... It was built at the turn of the century and renovated a few times since then.However,even with describing it with words like "vintage and retro" Chivalry is not dead...yet. Heels and boots are sexy. I like the occasional 40's or 50's black and white movie. Kissing in public and dancing till dawn are two of my favorite things ( I think, it's been awhile).Sitting together on the porch while it's thundering and lightning out is nice. Simply pulling the car over on a warm summer night to count the stars makes for a wonderful evening as well. Traveling anywhere around the world is always exciting, and getting lost while traveling it, even better. I'm honest, faithful and have integrity....on that note >>>> If you ask me if those jeans make your "butt look big" , I will still consider the answer that keeps me from sleeping on the couch.I've been in the automotive industry for almost 30 years, from technician to service manager, supervisor and teacher.Unfortunately, the auto industry has seen better days. .Soooo...Plan "B". I'm now an EMT and really enjoy my job. I still restore old cars one day per week for a local shop. It's a passion for me.I have children in their 20's. We do see each other almost everyday and enjoy each others company immensely. My daughter, son in-law and grand children have recently moved into my house. I have to admit that I like having them around. One of my granddaughters is eight... Fair warning... she is a card shark. I have yet to win a round of Go-fish with her. I've checked up her sleeve and under her hat but never find any extra cards. The other angel is 21 months old and always smiling. UPDATE : I recently won a hand of Go-fish. She says she let me win.....I believe her.I don't smoke. I stay up to late. 20's,30's and 40's are my favorite era's. I'm a big fan of B-movies and Art Deco. I think the atmosphere of a dimly lit tavern/pub/bar (whatever) can be very sexy.I am a genuinely happy person.-garde and an eternal optimist.

i am tom.i'm an observer. i like being on the outside taking it all in. sometimes that's great 'cause i avoid all kinds of drama, but sometimes it's bad because being on the outside means you never quite get inside.i SOOO suck at contacting people i like. if i've viewed your profile, don't be bashful about contacting me if you want. chances are i read or saw something that interested me.i've been in and out of the music industry for most of my life. nothing famous or anything like that...music has afforded me some great oppurtunities for travel and cool experiences. i'm starting to move back into the local scene after taking a year off. writing and looking for places to play again. open mics, i'm sure. lol. my "day job" ended this past summer and i've been looking for something permanent ever since. not the best time to be doing that...but, i am sure there is something on the horizon. i still like some classic rock bands, but i have to take huge chunks of time off from them because you can only listen for so many decades, y'know?movies have become a passion. the station agent and lost in translation are constantly battling for my favorite. this past year movies like away we go and ink have resonated with me in two very different ways.i could go on for hours, but i won't.i'm really just a simple guy, unimpressed with the trappings of life. i'm not about the newest computer, cellphone or fashion trend. i'm about people. i like to get to know them, learn about them. it means a lot when someone genuinely misses me. i will be loyal to a fault, but i haven't got time for fake and pretentious people.i've never been or probably never will be rich. i don't have a ton of money. i think i'm like a lot of people who are just scraping by. i know that it can be a source of friction in relationships, but i would hope to meet someone who isn't interested in it and just in us. (or is rich!)though i believe in stewardship of what i have, i'm not going to be fanatic and attempt to force you towards my belief system. people have to make their own way. i've been around long enough to see fads come and go and am unfazed by them. i AM open to new ideas, but my beliefs are sound.i really don't have a "type". i'm really attracted to an open and honest face. you can tell so much from it. i'm also a sucker for slight overbite and great hair. (prolly 'cause i don't have any of my own!) lols... as cliched as is sounds, dinner and drinks can be a great way to get to know someone. especially what and how they eat. you can learn a lot by how someone holds their fork. I am a loyal and trustworthy man with a variety of intrests. I believe dating is where all relationships begin. If it progresses beyond that point all the better. I treat all women with honesty and respect. I believe that romance does still exist and doing the little things to make it work are important. I am not a perfect man but i try to improve on me everyday. I am educated,articulate ,funny have a great job i enjoy. There is however something missing. The love of a great woman. I was a Registered Nurse for 20 years. A wonderful job I was blessed to do. I now work in HSE as a Safety manager. It is new and challenging and a lot of core values resemble nursing. My family and friends thought I had lost my mind however it has been a great career move. I also enjoy cooking,laughing while being a goof ball,the blues, rock n roll basically most music suits me. I like to work outside in my yard and small garden. Trips playing tourist to the city or catching some sun at the beach. I can enjoy a day relaxing with a cold beer or a glass of Cabernet or go skydiving from a perfectly good plane. If your up for fun I'm your man!!! DRINKS OR DINNER IS ALWAYS A GOOD PLACE TO START...
