But, its not so we go through the process and hope for the best and not just good enough.About me-I am a single and sole parent, with my youngest being 12yrs old. I enjoy coaching youth baseball and have done it for many years. I work as a consultant in the environmental, petro- Most of my work is done from my home office but I enjoy getting out into the field when I can. What I am looking for-HONESTY!!!!! Please, be honest with yourself and with me. I want a friend, someone that actually knows what a "FRIEND" is and how friends treat each other. Someone I find attractive, I understand when we are all in our 70s what we looked like 30 years ago wont matter. BUT... we arent in our 70s (if you are, I am not interested in dating), I want to enjoy the person sitting accross the table, inside and outside. Someone who talks! I normally find woman attractive that are on the petite, average or athletic side. Some woman have that gentle look in her eyes that says "she cares". To me that is captivating to say the least. What I am NOT looking for-A woman to clean my house, do laundry, make dinner, drive the car pool or take my youngest to his doctors appointment. I handle that pretty well myself.What I can offer-HonestyTrustfriendshipand the rest depends on the dynamics of a relationship (or at least thats what I think)Note: if you expect a guy who is smooth and experienced at this dating thing, that's not me.     i am tom.i'm an observer. i like being on the outside taking it all in. sometimes that's great 'cause i avoid all kinds of drama, but sometimes it's bad because being on the outside means you never quite get inside.i SOOO suck at contacting people i like. if i've viewed your profile, don't be bashful about contacting me if you want. chances are i read or saw something that interested me.i've been in and out of the music industry for most of my life. nothing famous or anything like that...music has afforded me some great oppurtunities for travel and cool experiences. i'm starting to move back into the local scene after taking a year off. writing and looking for places to play again. open mics, i'm sure. lol. my "day job" ended this past summer and i've been looking for something permanent ever since. not the best time to be doing that...but, i am sure there is something on the horizon. i still like some classic rock bands, but i have to take huge chunks of time off from them because you can only listen for so many decades, y'know?movies have become a passion. the station agent and lost in translation are constantly battling for my favorite. this past year movies like away we go and ink have resonated with me in two very different ways.i could go on for hours, but i won't.i'm really just a simple guy, unimpressed with the trappings of life. i'm not about the newest computer, cellphone or fashion trend. i'm about people. i like to get to know them, learn about them. it means a lot when someone genuinely misses me. i will be loyal to a fault, but i haven't got time for fake and pretentious people.i've never been or probably never will be rich. i don't have a ton of money. i think i'm like a lot of people who are just scraping by. i know that it can be a source of friction in relationships, but i would hope to meet someone who isn't interested in it and just in us. (or is rich!)though i believe in stewardship of what i have, i'm not going to be fanatic and attempt to force you towards my belief system. people have to make their own way. i've been around long enough to see fads come and go and am unfazed by them. i AM open to new ideas, but my beliefs are sound.i really don't have a "type". i'm really attracted to an open and honest face. you can tell so much from it. i'm also a sucker for slight overbite and great hair. (prolly 'cause i don't have any of my own!) lols... as cliched as is sounds, dinner and drinks can be a great way to get to know someone. especially what and how they eat. you can learn a lot by how someone holds their fork.     I would like to find a girl that wants, and can get out to do things. Being attractive is a big plus!!! I know, shallow.. She should know that it is her turn to have some fun!!! I know, selfish.. I would like to put a smile on her face every day!!! I know, it’s all about me.. LOL I like to have fun, love my job, like to think I am responsible, and want to find somebody to ENJOY life with!!! I listen to all kinds of music, but tend to stay more on the country/rock side of the road. Bike rides get me out of the house for the most part now days. I don’t know a lot of people in the area, so I tend to ride alone. I travel as much as I can, so I have been keeping my responsibilities around the house on the low side. I enjoy doing things outside like gardening/landscaping, but have been shying away from it recently. I like to hunt, fish, camp. go out on a boat, and hit the trails for a bike or ATV ride. I can cook, can a mean salsa, and clean. Yes, I have been known to do my own laundry. I am a bit one sided on how I spend my time alone, but not afraid to mix it up. The cold weather is on its way as you know. This will be movie time, or going someplace warm at times. Yes, I could try to keep you warm..I guess if you have read this far I will put in a few must does. I am not opposed to doing some flying during some parts of the year. She must live close. I don’t want to watch a movie at your place and then drive an hour to get home. Fifteen minutes or less would be great. Thirty minutes would work. I am willing to work for something great, but would like to make things easy and simple.
