I got kicked off this site about a month ago due to inactivity. Guess I better start checking in! :)I'm really just checking this out - pretty independent, and I absolutely love my life, but every once in awhile wonder why I don't try a little harder to meet new people. I'm self employed, running a non-profit which leads teams of volunteers to areas of disaster relief or to assist with ongoing humanitarian projects, domestically and abroad. I have two daughters in college, and a granddaughter who I am MADLY in love with! I love to have fun, love to eat, love to laugh, and I definitely don't take life too seriously. I rarely have a bad hour much less a bad day. I read and play tennis in my spare time, as well as watch A LOT of football during football season. Pretty much how I spend every Sunday. I've not been married for 15 years by choice. I really love my life so much that it would take an absolutely amazing situation to get me to make a change. But I do have faith in God's plan for me and my future, so I'm fine either way.My degree is in Christian Ministries and I'm a former youth minister, and then went into full time missions, however, I'm probably one of the few liberal Christians you might meet. Politics sadden me, because I don't believe Jesus sees us in terms of borders, and I don't think He would appreciate us treating each other that way. That statement is about as political as I'll ever get. I read about three books a week and love to talk about them. Also LOVE to cook, and if I do say so myself, I'm pretty darn good at it! :) I don't make a ton of money being self employed, and really don't care. It is definitely not what drives me. My three girls are my life, and I'm incredibly lucky to say that my daughters would consider me their best friend. They are by far the coolest people on the planet!

I don't sweat the small stuff; am not offended by a dirty joke and can dish out a few of my own; have spent a lifetime cultivating and refining my spiritual perspective; am happily independent, and am an articulate and captivating communicator.I'm passionate, positive thinking and daringly adventurous. I travelled internationally for my job for years and while it was a very charmed existence, I'm now happier with a simpler life.I'm skilled at creating a passionate, exciting and intellectually stimulating relationship; speak, read and write Hebrew; enjoy learning about new cultures; am insatiably curious and charmed by life; and keep myself active and fit (hiking, yoga, indoor climbing). I'm health conscious but I'd still be up for a midnight trip to an old- I'm an animal lover.... so, in all frankness, if you don't like cats, we probably won't be a good fit.I'm well educated, well rounded, and for the most part love the work I do. I try to create as stress free a life as possible. I find a great deal of satisfaction in doing volunteer work. I have worked on suicide/crisis hotlines and volunteer with hospice patients. On Saturdays, I tutor underprivileged children in Language Arts.I’m really good at making people feel comfortable, holding deep discussions, showering attention on my partner, baking a great apple pie, hosting interesting dinner parties, and being a loyal friend and partner. I have two sweet cats whom I love very much. The first things people usually notice about me is my smile, short dark hair, well kept hands. Quick sense of humor. I am a Freemason ***Yes, despite what you may have heard, women CAN be Masons....and ARE. You should message me for a possible first date if you can appreciate one or more of the following reasons why I might be your best girlfriend ever:* You will be proud to have me on your arm when we go out in public and your friends will probably be envious.* You will never, ever compete with me (bc I'm extremely non-competitive).* You will be nicely surprised when I kiss you passionately at unexpected times and in unexpected places.* You will have to get used to freshly baked pies and the weekend breakfast in bed.* You will see my smile far more often than my frown.* You will find yourself thinking seriously about my observations on life and current events.*You won’t be holding my purse at the shoe store. You won’t even BE at the shoe store with me.* You will very rarely hear those awful words: "Not tonight....”

You can read a lot of profiles so thanks for reading mine. I’m looking for someone who is down-to-earth, funny and doesn’t mind showing his ROMANTIC side. I enjoy many things including traveling, watching sports (football, hockey, horseracing). I love going to movies, bowling, and am a voracious reader. I have dogs and cats so hopefully you like animals as much as I do. I have two kids. Looking forward to new experiences and adventures… First date: Coffee or bowling.
