Hi there!! Just looking to see if I can find a woman with some of the same interests that I have...... I love the outdooors and will pretty much do anything as long as it involves fresh air.. Some of my favorites activities are camping ,fishing, quading, golfing, boating, bacci ball, Swap meets, drag races, rodeos or the air shows.. I have even jumped out of a plane.. I am very open and will try anything atleast once...... I like to do things around my home and my yard, yes even plant flowers..... I like to cook and like to BBQ food the most, So you make the salad and I'll cook the steak or chicken and veggies. It's way more fun when we can cook together.. I will try any new food so you can feed me almost anything..lol..... I'm very independant..I have a great job that I've been at for 28 years now.. I have a 14 year old son who spends some time with me during the Summer and on Holidays. . My son lives in the Castlegar area with his Mom.. If your interested in meeting me I have to tell you something ..I had some medical issues last year . I had surgery on my bowel. I have now developed a couple very large hernias on the incision on my abodmen. I'm now waiting for another surgery to put mesh in to fix the problem. But till that happens I have to put up with not looking or feeling my best. It has also forced me to stop working, and go on long term disability . (Update Dec ***I have now had my surgery and I'm on my way to recovery. I won't be able to resume my life totaly yet, I've been told 6 months then I can start getting back to the regular stuff I used to do. It's all Great news for me, so maybe the new year will hold some thing or some one special in it for me.. So if can over look my situation and look towards the future maybe your a keeper.. I have this Theory about Divorce....After years of being in the Hospitality Industry and watching people behave in Public and especially (a little bit) older people, I have made some fairly decent observations. I think.I can't tell you how many men I have served who have told me about their pending divorce and out of habit I always ask the same question; "As head of your family, are you sure you have done everything to put your marriage back together?" I *** a "yes" from these men and my most favorite response is; "I am ashamed to tell you this but my wide and I have not had sex in over 2 years!" In some case I go further and ask a few more questions such as; "is your wife going through menopause or pre-menopause?" or "have you or your wife lost there Mom and Dad in the last couple of years?" Each one of these questions denotes a critical cause and effect psychological condition that could be responsible for the marital issues at hand....and can be handily treated and resolved in most cases. These are just 2 common things people our age go through during a marriage if we are in our 40's and on.There is a problem that has creeped into the divorce cycle that is commonly mis- Unfortunately over the counter supplements are not FDA approved and therefore have an unknown factor with behavior modification.Now the question that most men will never answer is the following; "has your wife gained any weight or had any medical conditions?" Believe it or not most men have an extreme sense of loyalty to a soon to be ex-spouse, where these questions would be, in their mind disrespectful if discussed with a stranger or even a close friend. Only in therapy is is found out that a spouse has grown to where they feel un-attracted to their partner especially if they have gained weight or a medical condition has changed their appearance.Now for the kicker. If you are a man and you read through the profiles on meetville, probably over 75% have some mention of "honesty" or a reference to infidelity somewhere in the profile. It does not take a psychology degree to realize that these women have felt betrayed in their marriage and was the reason for their divorce. They also feel this will be the main priority on the next go round. It is a shame to say this, but infidelity is never the reason for the divorce as experts agree that that is a symptom of a divorce...in other words, it is the final straw that brings a marriage to a conclusion. Unfortunately, most people never come to terms for the failure of their divorce and often repeat that behavior as 2nd marriage end in failure 75% of the time.So how prevalent is mental disease or psychological and personalty disorders untreated and divorce? I think it is very significant...it deals with this very subject very well!And ladies, while you all are thinking that the men you meet on this forum are all "Players" perhaps that may be correct based on the fact that the men that date in 40's and 50's are in no rush towards marriage where the statistics are not favorable and they most certainly do not want to rush into a situation where they are telling their Bartender; "do you know how long it is been since I have sex with my 2nd wife?" Friendship is important! I am seeking the rare person who I would call a "kindered spirit..you know by just looking at their eyes, an old soul if you will...going to live music venues and things of interest such as Martini's at Fernbank.
