Looking for batman. Other than that I want someone who will respect me, likes me for who I am, confident and secure with themselves. I am generally happy and outgoing, and enjoy being outdoors and active.

I am a very outgoing person who would love to meet that special person to share my life with me. I am not a needy person but I would like someone who can love and be loved. Someone who is sincere and wants a committed relationship with the right person. I love the outdoors, having a great time and laughing. Laughter is the key to life. I love to travel and do lots of things. I am intelligent, I am a teacher, I teach art to the little ones so I also love children I have 2 wonderful children of my own. I want someone who has their own children and is looking for the same kinds of things and can offer a quality lifestyle. Are you the one?For a first date I would either go for dinner or just for a drink or coffee or even for a walk somewhere if it were a nice day. Something simple is good too!!!

I've been charged with really writing what I'm looking for in a partner. And, truthfully, I guess it's changed since the last time I wrote anything here...so, I'm going to be as honest and compassionate as I can be when writing something like this, for all of you to see. You know who I'm talking to!I am in a totally new phase of my life. I guess I'd have to say, the last third of my career and social attempt at life. I have completely changed my thinking from being pretty buttoned down, in what I thought I should be doing career-wise and who I should be hanging out with, in terms of ...men. In all honesty, I like a working man; but a working man that's smart and worldly and can put a grammatically correct sentence together; in a conversation and on paper. (Sorry guys-it's the teacher in me. Some things remain.) I used to write that 'educated' was a must, but, I guess that everyone doesn't become educated in the same way. And, different ways can still be...educated. It is still vitally important to me that you have a love of mother nature-the great outdoors for that is one of my 'drugs' along with live music and art. I crave the outdoors: mountain climbing, being near the water, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and just being in the woods. As far as the 'arts' go: I could never live without them. I receive a certain heightened experience when listening to (and usually dancing to) live music; especially jazz and blues; although I love most genres of music. I am in the throes of starting a new business which I am very excited about. I am a former school music teacher ***years) but it seems as though the educational system has become mostly dysfunctional and it is time to make room for younger educators to try and fix those issues. I still have a large private music studio for children (piano, voice, guitar, etc.) and I (mostly) love that part of my working life. I have also taught Sunday School for over 20 years and in particular, teach a group of Special Needs Adults which brings me great joy and sense of purpose. Unfortunately, I am presently living in a place that does not allow dogs, which is very hard for me. I have always had at least two Shepherd mixes. Soon! I hope that you will find what I wrote here most...sincere and intriguing.I think that a short first date for a coffee or drink is best. If the sparks fly, I like to go the Art Museum or batting cages. I love to eat out as I am a long time foodie and great cook and baker. I also like to entertain at home with friends.
