Conversation is very important to me. Ever been one of those 20 questions dates? You know the one's where you're constantly asking questions of the boring person across from you, trying to get them to engage in some form of conversation so you don't fall asleep during the date? Those are awful. I'd also like to find someone where the burden of conversation is not constantly placed on me. I can definitely do my part, but you're the woman, and I should be able to get you going to the point where I could get away with the obligatory nod and "uh-huh" response. Of course I won't really do that, but you have to work with your potential dates here. I like to joke around and have a good time, but I'd also like to meet someone with a little bit of maturity. So lining your profile with pics of you and your girlfriends at the bar is not necessary. Those some pics which are accompanied with captions which say "Me and my b i t c h es!" is REALLY not necessary. I'd also like to speak with someone who doesn't have to specify that they enjoy dressing down as well as dressing up for a night on the town. I'm pretty sure all of us have had to go out for a formal event at some point in our life, so you don't need to point that out. I'm glad you at least know how to make the best of it, as well as knowing not to wear sweat-pants to Uncle Fred's wedding. Finally, I'm not a big fan of flakes, dandruff or otherwise. The only flakes I like are the frosted variety. Maybe the bran, but it has to have a lot of raisins! (This is of course all tongue in cheel, but you get the idea)What I am looking for is to get to know someone as a possible companion, friend, and maybe more down the road. I think it's better to get to know a person well enough before taking it to the next level, if at all possible... or even at all.I'm an active and fun loving person who likes to look at the glass as being half full. I'll start with the easy stuff. I live alone, I have a working vehicle, a job I love, and don't have any kids. My profile picture is real, and recent. So, why am I here? The fact is, I didn't grow up here, didn't go to school here, and don't have any family here. I moved for my career, and because of my job I don't really have a "circle". I have friends, most of whom are married (or tragically damaged) and I have activities outside of work and home, but the nature of my job keeps me fairly isolated. It's not that I work too much... hardly. It's that I work with kids, and my hours are all "after school" hours. I'm really looking for someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously, who knows how to have a good time, without it being at the expense of others (that can be taken in more ways than one), and secure enough with herself to not need constant affirmation of everything in her life. Call me shallow, but attraction is important to me. I do believe, however, there is more to attraction than the socially accepted definition of physical beauty. I am a very easy going person, slow to anger and quick to give benefit of the doubt. I love to learn, and explore ideas. I find people and their behaviors extremely fascinating. I tend to be more interested in the solution to a problem than dismayed by the problem itself. I believe that love finds you, but you have to be in the right place at the right time, and like lightning it can happen more than once, but when you've been struck, it's easy to become weary of the storm.
