I am a sincere, genuine, caring person. Honest to a fault. (I'm a really bad liar, so I don't even bother with it) I'm kind and considerate and love to laugh! I consider humor and wit an important quality. Serious when I need to be, but try not to sweat the small stuff! I am the mother of one amazing daughter. I'm a pretty good cook! I love all the holidays. I like to fish, however, I cannot kill the beast! But once it's cleaned, I can cook it! (grin) I have a beautiful Maine Coon cat named Beauford, he is part of our family and we love him. I am pretty low key and not very demanding. Not into extreme sports like bungee jumping or para sailing, but I would like to do some exploring this summer, maybe go to a few concerts at the zoo, or see a few movies (popcorn mandatory). I love music! Jazz, rock, classic rock, especially alt and indie rock, and musical theater, to name a few...country, hip hop, rap..not so much. I would like to meet a decent, kindhearted, loyal, honest, caring man to get to know for friendship. I'm dyslexic, so please don't judge my spelling! DYSLEXICS UNTIE! ( hee hee) . I’m interested in cultivating some new friendships, learning more about the world around me and the people in it. That being said...I want to dispel any myths about the perfect woman....I am not her! I try to make an effort to be fair and honest, so here's the bitter truth. I am a bit tired of having to apologize for the fact that I am a chubby girl.....have always been a chubby girl....and will probably always be a chubby girl....despite my best efforts and a zillion diets....alas....I remain a chubby girl. If you are a man who's ideal woman is thin....well....I will have to break your heart right now. It's a shame that a person's physique has become more important than the content of their character in this society....but *shrugs*....there ya have it! Also, I am too old and have way too much respect for myself to be someone's booty call , so if that's what you are interested in....thanks for stopping in and please keep the line moving. I need a best friend....not another notch on the bed post... I'm sorry....I know I am breaking hearts all over the Great Pacific Northwest at this point....but in the long run...honesty just saves us all a lot of time and awkward moments. The most important thing for me is honesty. I'm honest to a fault, feel free to test me.I'm looking for an important relationship but am happy to take time to work towards that. It's not important for us to share the same interests. If I like you, then I'll like your interests and what you do. I can be drawn towards quirky and different - so if you're an underwater juggler I'd love to be involved in that!I can find something interesting in practically everything - truly. I want to know how things work, why they happen, what they mean. You wont feel lonely with me. I can be quiet and introverted but it wont be long before I'm giggling again.I have lots of hobbies and I'm told I'm good at the things I do. I sing and play the piano. I like to go to the cinema most weeks, do pilates and read lots of books on wide ranging subjects - but not all at the same time! I enjoyed the Millenium Trilogy books and film and have read the Game of Thrones books and am waiting for the new one. I'm reading the Detective Resnick stories (by John Harvey), at the moment. I've now come to terms with the Kindle but still miss seeing the page numbers! I'm in the early days of learning to speak Spanish and intend to visit Cuba at the end of the year.I'm interested in vintage and will hold on and value things which have history, but not necessarily monetary value.I enjoy dancing - (Ceroc mostly now) but I can quickstep. I'd love to dance with you! It's a great excuse to get up close and look into your eyes.I can be quite indecisive - but equally, I do have strong views and am unshakable on the more important stuff.I particularly enjoy talking, listening, people watching and discussing all sorts of "stuff". I haven't grown up yet, I'm pleased to say and I like to be really silly if given the chance. I can be a good friend and find that people often ask my advice. I am practical and logical and good at getting to the heart of an issue. I particularly like emotional songs and lovely lyrics. I'm a romantic but have, in the past, tried to hide it. With the right person I could be very openly romantic and love being that way. Could you bring out the romantic in me? I'm looking for someone to share the rest of my life with - the good and the less good. If it's a dull or wet day, we can cosy up together in a warm corner of Costas coffee shop, smell the freshly ground coffee, look into each other eyes and knowing that we're starting our romance, we can whisper and giggle.
