Hi there...Hope you are having a great day. I am a very happy, secure, confident woman. I have put a lot into my life to achieve where I am. It's important to me that my mate take good care of himself - that he exercises and cares about the way he looks and feels, that he is stable and dependable. I work as a health educator in corporate health and wellness, still do some personal training and still teach at a local YMCA so I am very passionate about staying active and fit! I am also a triathlete and enjoy both the training and the competition. If you are a sedentary person, I can tell you that this will not work out. I am very high energy and although you don't have to be a triathlete I am looking for the same in my partner. I also want someone who loves to laugh and have fun! Life is way too serious and we all need to let go once and while and just enjoy! Love a cozy night on the couch with wine and a movie too....so I am balanced! lol!Btw, I would like to share one more thing. I currently have a house I would like to sell in East Stroudsburg, PA. However, the market has made this difficult to achieve. Hoping this spring there will be an opportunity. So I live in Rockaway during the week and go the PA on weekends. I just want to make sure that is not a problem if you have an interest! Since I am in Rockaway more days of the week, I choose to use that to identify my location.For a first date I think it would depend on how well I got to know the person through e-mails and phone calls prior to the date. It could just be getting together for coffee or going out for a nice dinner. After that I really enjoy dates that include some kind of activity...hiking and dinner or lunch, movie and dinner, biking, etc.

I have been single for a number of years after a 24 year marriage, and although I am independent and rather content with my life, there are moments when I think I would like to meet someone special to share activities such as day trips, movies, dinners, theatre, etc. I have two grown children, and three grand children. Since being around family is so important to me, I would hope that it's also very important to you. You need not be religious, but I do hope you believe in God and strive to treat others with kindness and respect. What appeals to me beyond anything else is a humble, well grounded individual. I don't think it's important at our stage of life to be looking for a marriage partner, most of us have married, raised a family and have our own homes. There was a time in our lives when we wanted our parents to approve of our dating companions, but now we have our children that will no doubt give us their opinions. I admit, I would much rather meet someone first in person, rather than a dating site such as this, but we all know how difficult that is at this stage of our lives. Even if we don't find the sparks, perhaps some new friendships could develop. Although I am now retired, I babysit my two youngest grandchildren ***days a week. Who knew that being a grandmother could be so much fun. Many of us have become content living our lives solo (I am no exception), but in my heart I know that something is definitely missing. If you feel the same and seek some companionship now and then, a good conversation over a bottle of wine, then please drop me a line.What would be nice is if a few members could meet at a local restaurant at a specified time to share a meal with absolutely no pressure, simply a gathering of the minds so to speak. Now that would be a lovely gathering.First encounters are strictly for getting to know one another better, so therefore, it would consist of an informal setting, meeting for a drink or coffee (maybe even lunch/dinner). Hopefully there will be some common interests.
